Funeral services for Mr. Terrish Jackson, age 36, of Bay City, will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 1996, at 2 p. m., at the First Sacred Memorial Christian Church in Bay City, with the Rev. A. H. Floyd officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake. Visitation will be Friday until 9 p. m. in the chapel of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home, and Saturday from 1 to 2 p. m. at the church. He was born in Bay City, Texas, August 24, 1960, and passed away Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1996, in Bay City, Texas. He attended Public School in Bay City, and was a member of First Sacred Memorial Christian Church. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Louise Crockett of Bay City, and two sisters and brother-in-law, Mrs. Jenetrica Woods (& Shawn, Sr.), and Mrs. Shirley O’Neal, all of Bay City. Frank James Sr., 64, of Box 506 Van Vleck, died Wednesday at Matagorda General Hospital. He was born in Brazoria County Mar. 20, 1913. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Larney James of Van Vleck; five daughters, Mrs. Susie Wiley and Mrs. Dorothy Blackmon of Van Vleck, Mrs. Dora Jones and Mrs. Alice Moore of Houston and Mrs. Alice Wilcox of La Marque; three sons, Frank James Jr. of Van Vleck, Arthur and James P. James of Bay City; one stepson, George Alexander of Kingsville; three brothers, Elijah James and Claudie Young of San Francisco, Calif., Harry of Hitchcock; one sister, Mrs. Dora Tapia of San Francisco, Calif.; two aunts, Mrs. Ida Scurry of Bay City and Mrs. Della Morris of Brazoria; one uncle, Nelson Merchant of Liverpool; and 26 grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake, with the Rev. Lloyd Brown officiating. Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake. Active pallbearers will be members of Gulf Coast Lodge 272. Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Hattie Woodard-Jammer, 82, of Brazoria will be 1 p. m Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2000 at Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake with the Rev. Ward Woodard, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p. m. on Monday, Jan. 10, 2000 at Dixon Funeral Home Chapel. Ms. Woodard-Jammer died Friday, Jan. 7, 2000 at Woodlake Nursing Home in Clute, Tex. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church where she served as a faithful choir member until her health failed. She is survived by: two daughters, Bessie Jammer (and Willie, Jr.) of Brazoria, and by Rosie L. Williams of Texas City; four brothers, Archie Woodard (and Minnieola) of Brazoria, Horace Woodard (and Girtha) of Cedar Lake, Raleigh Woodard (and Helen), and Albert Woodard, all of Houston; one sister, Eunice Helms (and Aaron) of Brazoria; six stepchildren; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives; and best friend, Sophie Franklin. Pallbearers will include: John Henry Johnson, Preston D. Woodard, Jerry Johnson, Danny Woodard, Jarvis Helms, Cunnie Woodard, and Raleigh A. Woodard. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Bethlehem Christian Church. Arrangements are with Dixon Funeral Home of Brazoria.

On January 27, 1930 a handsome baby boy Lonnie Henry Jones, Sr. was born to the late Arthur Jones, Sr. and Isabella (Bivens) Jones. “L. H.” Jones as he was affectionately called confessed Christ at an early age with the Grace United Methodist Church. He married Frances Mae Merchant and they were blessed with 10 children. He was a hardworking charismatic man that enjoyed telling jokes and spending time with his family and many friends. Lonnie H. Jones, Sr., received his wings on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Sweeny House Skilled Nursing Facility surrounded by his loving family. His kind and witty way will live on in the lives of those who loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Frances Mae Jones; three children, Queen Ester, Richard Ray and Lonnie H. Renee Woodard Hill Ketchum. 58, formerly of Cedar Lake, Texas, peacefully transitioned from this life to life eternal on July 7, 2020, in Houston, Texas. She was born on Wednesday, January 17, 1962, in New Gulf, Texas to Horace Woodard Sr. and Girtha Lee Williams Woodard. Renee was a 1980 graduate of Sweeny High School. After receiving her degree in education, her career experiences included serving as educator with the Van Vleck ISD, Bay City ISD, Sweeny ISD, Hempstead ISD and Cy-Fair ISD, mentoring her students toward their ultimate goal in achievement and excellence. She was a longtime member of the Bethlehem Christian Church in Cedar Lake, Texas, and later the New Light Christian Center in Missouri, City, Texas. She held firm to her faith and belief in God throughout life. Survivors include her husband, Anthony Ketchum; two sons, Shyler Hill and Sharnell Hill; father, Horace Woodard Sr.; two sisters, Cheryl Williams and Faye Wamget; brother, Horace Woodard Jr.; two aunts and mentors, Wilhelm Moye and Tena Simien; uncle, Albert Woodard Sr.; and an enormous host of other relatives and a family of many, many friends. Public viewing and guest registry will be on Friday, July 17, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Bay City, Texas; and on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the New Light Christian Center, 14415 Fondren Road, Missouri City, Texas 77489; followed by a private funeral service for FAMILY ONLY at 2 p.m. Entombment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery in Cedar Lake, Texas, alongside her mother, Girth Lee Woodard.
