I am seeking the origins of my ancestors. Franklin Boltz is as far as I can trace through family members. I want to know where his burial site is and where he lived, who his father was etc. Where did the Boltz's migrate from? etc. John Boltz was a son of Franklin Boltz and was also believed to reside in the Jerry City area. Here should be the family line. Franklin Boltz, John Boltz, Otho Boltz, Duane Boltz (my father), Larry Boltz (myself), Otho resided in the Akron, Ohio area. So I am already familiar with family history back thru Otho but not beyond that. Your help would be appreciated.

I am interested in any information available on the SOUDER (msp. SAUTER)and FAULHABER and MUNZINGER family migrations from Ohio, Wisconsin and Nebraska between 1830 and 1900. Walter Lewis Faulhaber was my gggg grandfather as was Louisa Munzinger my gggg grandmother. Lewis (or Louis)Faulhaber was my ggg grandfather as was Helena Souder my ggg grandmother. Around 1830 the Munzinger, Faulhaber and Souter families migrated to the United States from Germany. Early in the 1830s these families settled in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio. I only have record that Helena's parents moved on to Perrysberg, Wood County, Ohio. Helena stayed behind with her new husband, Louis Faulhaber. Around 1850 Helena and Louis Faulhaber left Tiffin for Manitowoc County (Reedsville) Wisconsin. Records show 13 children were born to them in Reedsville. Some of the children moved to Iowa and Nebraska. Does any of this sound familiar?????

I am seeking the name of the Wood County church over which a Rev. J. H. Newton presided in 1855. Ancestry.com lists Rev. Newton as officiating at the September 15, 1855, wedding of my GG grandparents  and early pioneers in the Maumee Valley  Henry Gerkins/Girkins and Mary Brownsberger (the Brownsberger Quilt). It is hoped the church records will reveal previously unknown information on Henry's life prior to their marriage  the church having played a very major role in the lives of the people during that period. What is known about Henry before 1855: He was born in 1825; his parents arrived at the Perrysberg Dock from the east (on the Commodore Perry) in 1834, and according his obituary (Toledo Blade, 2/17/1913), "a few years later both parents died, leaving the lad to make his way in the world." The obituary indicates he initially worked on a farm in Wood County. This information is being sought in preparation for a mid-summer trip back to the Toledo area (from Chicago) to continue a genealogy project. Jim Girkins, Membership No. 1363

I'm 46 years old. I have just been informed by my Mom that I was adopted in Bowling Green, Ohio in 1955. All the information she has given me is that my Father, twin brother, my Mother and myself were involved in an automobile accident in late 1955. My Mother and myself survived the accident, but she was not able emotionally to care for me. I was adopted by Charles and Eva Mauldin. Charles was stationed at the neaby Air Force base, and all the other information I have is the social worker's name Mrs. Dilly. If anyone has any information as to where to find information or newspaper stories about auto accidents in or around the time and place mentioned please contact me as to where to begin my search. Thank you.
