KNOWLTON CEMETERY, Farmington

From Routes 2 & 4,take the Knowlton Corner Road - this is the turn by the Twin Ponds Motel. Go past the large farm on the corner - about a mile out. The road dips, then climbs. At the top of the hill the road levels out. There's a large red cape on the left. The road to this cemetery is on the right, directly across from the red cape. It's a 'woods road' and can be accessed by a 4 x 4. The cemetery is in off the main road about a 1/4 mile - on the left across a stone wall. Trees are cleaned out, but some brush.

From Farmington, take Route 2 & 27 East. In Farmington Falls, take a right into the village, cross the bridge, take an immediate right. At the next "y", take a left onto the Pope Road. Proceed roughly 3 miles, pass the town office & fire department. The Cemetery is on the hill on the right shortly after the town office. When it was recorded, the cemetery hadn't been mown. Fenced. Some broken stones.

LOWELL CEMETERY, Farmington

From Route 4, take a left onto the Back Falls Road/Mt Blue High School Road At the "y" by the high school, go straight. Cemetery is about 1.5 miles past the high school on the left on a knoll with a stonewall in front. Cemetery is well-kept. Many, many old unreadable stones. Many unmarked graves. Probably one of the oldest in Farmington.

MANTOR-SEAVEY CEMETERY, Industry

To get to this Cemetery start at the corner of High St. and Perham St. in Farmington, Maine. Follow Perham St. 5.9 miles to junction of SR-43 & 148. Turn left onto SR-148 and go to fork in the road beyond the Wing Farm. at the junction of 148 and Federal Row. Keep to the left on Federal Row until the paved road makes a sharp left. This is 2.6 miles from the junction of SR- 43 & 148. Keep stright ahead off the paved road and follow the jeep road .5 miles to a fork. Keep to the right for .2 miles and cross a bridge. Follow the road for .4 miles keeping to the left. The Cemetery is up the hill to the left and is well taken care of.

Located on the property of Steve Viles, this single stone looks more like a property corner marker than a grave stone. The property owner has the square marker and trees around it flagged with pink survey flagging.

Notes from Freeman History says Isaac also has a marker in the Starbird Corner Cemetery, where his wife is buried. But someone has done some research, and the Viles family feels that Isaac is truly buried there on his property. The ground shows an indentation that would verify that.

From Wilton take Rt 156 to Weld. When you get to the town of Weld go straight across on Rt. 142 North for 2.3 miles. Then take a left onto West Side Road and go until you come to a dirt road going straight ahead. Go for 1.8 miles and you will see the cemetery on the right. The cemetery has been well taken care of.
