He married (2) Mattie Mason, the widow of M.V. Berry of Vanderburgh Co Indiana; by this marriage there was one child. Pleasant Sparks died 14 Sep 1924; he is buried at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

Woods to Sarah Brooks 20 Apr 1876 Webster Co KY has been found, but no marriage to a Sarah Sutton. James and Sarah were the parents of 7 children. James F. Woods died in 1941; he is buried at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
