Col. Thomas Benjamin Massie served first with the 7th VA Cavalry.
After Turner Ashby fell at Cross Keys,
there were at least 26 companies. They were reorganized into
the 7th, 11th, & 12th.
He is the man seated in front on the left. (With walking stick)
I am not sure which of the others belong to each of the names.
I would guess that perhaps Maj. ?Daniels & Col. ?Langhorne are
standing.
And that T. B Massie and Reb James Battle Heriett are seated.
