Wallace Descendants
I am a direct descendant of Dr. Gustavus Brown of Port
Tabacco, Charles County, MD. His wife, Frances Fowke Brown, died at Dipple
Plantation (1744), Stafford County, VA, and is buried in the cemetery that
surrounds Aquia
Chapel in Stafford County. My line of the Brown family eventually moved on to
Breckinridge County, KY, then to Mayview, MO and then Lee's Summit, MO where I
was born. I now live in Stafford County, VA.
I have been able to find that the Family Bible is (was??) owned by another
direct descendant, a Mrs. H. Wallace of Fredericksburg. I am looking for any of
Mrs. Wallace descendants. Rob Brown,

Foley / Owens
I recently hit a brick wall looking for information on
John Foley and Nancy Owens. I have since seen an internet posting linking them
to Henry Foley and Anne Courtney of Shenandoah County VA. I now have documented
John Foley who married Nancy Owens. And I have undocumented material that shows
John's parents to be Henry & Anne (Courtney) Foley. Henry's father to be Richard
and Richard's parents to be Thomas and Martha (Bryant) Foley all from either
Stafford or Shenandoah County Virginia. Does
anyone have information on the line and if so, how is it documented?
Anyone with information on this family lineage, please contact Linda Foley

McLoed
I'm trying to locate information on James McLoed, born in Stafford in 1764. James was married to Susan Lotspeich, and died 1811 in Bourbon, Kentucky. I believe that James' father was John McCloud, born 1741 in Maryland. John's Revolutionary War Pension information states that he served while living in Stafford, VA, then moved on to Bourbon, KY where he died after 1838. James and Susan (Lotspeich) McLoed were the parents of at least five children: William Lotspeich (1789-1876, married Sarah Stark), Elizabeth (1791-1870, married George Kleiser), Emily (married Thomas Armstrong), George (1793-1870, married Catherine Miller), and Susannah (1799-?, married Samuel Wasson). Thanks, Jeannie Osborn McLoed jcobc@yahoo.com
