Old Fort Mitchell Grammar School
East of Salem Church on Rt 630, Mitchell Dr., which continues to Rt 49 between Chase City and Rehobeth.  There were three windows on each side in the front.

The old Mangum house across the road from Ft. Mitchell School.  Children used to go two at a time to the Mangum house to hand-pump water for the school.
Note: Information in 2004 is that the house has been dismantled.
