Joseph C. Williams, III

CHASE CITY, VA. November 3.-(Special.)-Mr.. Joseph C. Williams, traveling salesman for C. W. Antrim & Sons, of Richmond, has been very ill with fever at his home near Chase City. This will explain to his friends in Virginia and North Carolina why he has not called on them. Mr.. Williams is held in the highest esteem by the entire community, and sincere hopes are entertained for his recovers.


Joseph C. Williams DEAD

Mr.. Joseph C. Williams, traveling salesman for C. W. Arthur & Sons of Richmond died from a complication of ailments at his residence near here yesterday evening. He was 45 years old and leaves a widow and four young children. He had an extensive acquaintance and was a man of high character, enjoying the confidence and esteem of all classes of people. A gentleman of attractive demeanor, kind impulses, generous and warm hearted, he had and held many sincere friends, and his death is greatly deplored.

Died in Lunenburg county, VA at the residence of the widow

Couch. March 17th, Wm. P. Williams in the twenty-first year of his age, of typhoid pneumonia. He professed religion in 1872, and joined Mt. Zion church; he was a very consistent member. He had every attention that two good physicians could give, and many kind nurses. He leaves an aged father and mother, several brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss.
