DEED - COLLIER, Charles - Indenture dated the 27th day of August, 1764, between Charles Collier of Brunswick County and Burwell Grigg of Dinwiddie County, for 130 pounds for conveyance of 304 acre tract of land. Beginning at Harrison's line on Sandefors Branch thence along Harrison's line East 190 poles to Red Oak on the branch, thence up said branch as it meanders to a pine on the same, thence South 21 degrees West 142 poles, to a pine thence South 69 degrees 86 poles to a pine thence North 44 degrees West 66 poles to Sandefors line thence along his line North 20 degrees East 52 poles to his corner Hickory thence North 30 degrees West 100 poles to his corner pine thence North 71 degrees West 24 poles to Sandefors Branch aforesaid thence down the meanders of the said branch to the Beginning one hundred and forty four acres part thereof was formerly granted unto William Smith by letter patent dated February 2, 1742.

WILL - CROWDER, Wiley H. - April 21st 1890 In the name of Almighty God I W.H.Crowder doe make this my will. I loan to my wife sarah v. all of my real estate and personal property after my just debts are paid so long as she is my widowe then all my land to my three boys to stirling the land from the old gap as we went to B. Cleaton's now marked by a rock strait to a rock on west side of Joe gap to J.C. Crowder all the land on the west from the corner between me and C.L. Cleaton and myself to rock inside the fresh land to the corner next Charles Evanses to John L. Crowder the remainder of my land. My girls the sengle ones to have a home at my old homested during life or so long as they remain single. Stirling to pay ten dollars to each girl or the lawful ones James C. to pay each fifteen dollars and JL to pay $25.00 twenty five to each one and all my property to be divided among my girls or their lawful heirs those refusing to accept this wil is not to be benefited by it at all. CHANCERY PROCEEDING - CLEATON, Charles P. - Court for November 27, 1826. Suit in Chancery. Harrison Barner and John Barner and others, plaintiffs against Joseph H. Travis and Wm. F. Brodnax, Executors of John Barner, defendants. This day this cause was docketed and came on to be heard on the bill answer and exhibits heretofore filed in this cause and it appearing to the court that the order of publication as to the absent defendants, Benjamin Marrable and Lucy, his wife, has been regularly inserted in the public newspaper and posted at the front door of the courthouse of this county according to the order heretofore made in this court by this court It is decreed and ordered that John Taylor, John B. Thrower, Richard R. Browse, Robert Jones and James Seward or any three of them do divide the slaves and the estate owned by John Barner the Elder to his wife for life and which were not otherwise specifically disposed of equally between the devisees of the testator that is to say that they allot to William Harwell, Elizabeth P. Baugh late Harwell, Joseph Harwell, Martha Harwell, wife of Samuel Harwell, Rebecca J. Dorch late Harwell, Nancy Clauswell, late Harwell, John B. Harwell, Caroline A. Harwell, Mary Harwell and Richard Harwell one fifth they being the children of Rebecca Harwell late Barner, to Charles P. Cleaton, Catharine Rainey late Cleaton in right of the said Catharine Thomas Cleaton, Benjamin Tanner and Elizabeth his wife late Cleaton in right of the said Elizabeth, Jesse Rose and Edney his wife late Cleaton in right of the said Edny, William B. Cleaton and Parasade Cleaton, children of Elizabeth Cleaton late Barner, one fifth to James Hicks, John B. Hicks, Isaac Hicks and Francis B. Deed Book #27, Page 370 "This indenture made and intered into this 19th day of December 1848 between Martin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth his wife of the first part and Tyree CALLAHAN of the other part, both of the county of Campbell and the state of Virginia, witness that the said Martin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth his wife, for in consideration of the sum of eighty dollars lawful money of Virginia, to them in hand paid by the said Tyree CALLAHAN, the reciept thereof they do hereby acknowledge, hath granted, bargained and sold and by there presents, doth grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Tyree CALLAHAN, his heirs and assigns all the interest they have in and to a certain Tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Campbell, containing about one hundred and five acres and is the same land willed by Martin MASON to Levinia CALLAHAN, the mother of the said Martin CALLAHAN, and the heirs of her body, To have and to hold the aforesaid interest in the track or parcel of land aforesaid, together with all the appearances thereto belonging to him the said Tyree CALLAHAN his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behave of the said Tyree CALLAHAN his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Martin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth his wife, for themselves, their heirs, ________, and administrators doth hereby covenant and agree to and with the said Tyree CALLAHAN his heirs assigns, that they the said Martin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth his wife the interest aforesaid in the land aforesaid with its appearrances unto him the said Tyree CALLAHAN his heirs and assigns against them the said Martin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth his wife and theirs heirs and against all persons whomever shall and will by these presents forever warrant and defend in witness thereof the said Martin CALLAHAN and Elizabeth his wife hath here unto set their bonds and affixed their seals the day and year above written."

CALLAHAN of the one part and Tyree CALLAHAN of the other part, both of the County of Campbell witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid, the said John I CALLAHAN doth grant unto the said Tyree CALLAHAN all of his interest and title in a certain tract of land lying and being in the County of Campbell, containing one hundred and five acres more or less which said land was willed to the said John I CALLAHAN for his lifetime by the last will and testment of Martin MASON deceased , the same title, the said John I CALLAHAN is to defend unto the said Tyree CALLAHAN and his heirs as long as he (the said John I CALLAHAN ) shall live. Witnesseth that in consideration of the sum of one dollar in hand paid the said Tyree CALLAHAN and Permelia his wife, doth grant unto the said John CALLAHAN all therein right and title to a certain tract of land, lying near being in the County of Campbell containg twenty acres more or less adjoining the land of Peter FLAGG and James FARMER, bounded as follows -- Beginning at a new corner path 64 west 66 ____ to corner in field: thence south 78 1\4 , west 37 1\2 ____ to corner post to oak: thence south 26, east 34 1\4 ____ to corner past oak, thence north 40 , east 60 _____ to the beginning.
