I am looking for information on John Spencer b. 1730's who probably married in Bedford Co. VA to Mary (maiden name unknown). Their children were: William Spencer b. 1/19/1755 Bedford Co. VA m. ca. 1777 in Bedford Co. VA to Fannie Spencer, d. 1830's in NC; John Spencer Jr. b. ca. 1757 Bedford Co. VA m. ca. 1785 in Burke Co. NC to Ann (maiden name unknown), d. 1824-25 Gibson Co. TN; Benjamin Spencer b. 1760 Orange Co. NC m. 6/5/1783 Bedford Co. VA Elizabeth Kelley, m. 2nd 3/29/1827 Lincoln Co. NC to Mary Winkler, d. 12/15/1842 Burke Co. NC; Mollie Spencer m. Sherwood Bowman; Keziah Spencer. John Spencer is not on any census records after the 1800 Burke Co. NC census. Does anyone know what happened to him after 1800?

I am looking for information concerning Morris families in Bedford Co., VA. John H. Morris appears to be there in the 1840 census. He married in Augusta Co., VA to Rebecca Chapman in 1820. I would like to know if he remained in the county after the 1840 census and if any of his descendants are to be found there. Only two daughters are known: Frances Jane who m. Henry Kosciusko Dettor and Jennie who m. Dave Ward.
