Top: John, wife Marie and Louis, the eldest of their children. Bottom: Joseph, Mary and Ann. Grandfather John was born November 30, 1847 and died December 10, 1895 at age 48 from pneumonia. Grandmother Marie was born July 13, 1865 and died on January 3, 1933 at age 67 from a heart attack. She was a joy to her family and friends and a tireless worker.

Back Row, Left to Right: Anton, Joseph, Ludvik, John and Mary. Front Row, Left to Right: Vendelin, Tillie, wife Anna holding Anna and Antonia who died at age 12 from diphtheria. Grandfather Vendelin was born August 1854 and died October 2, 1923 at age 69. Grandmother Anna was born June 14, 1855 and died April 1, 1934 at age 78. In their younger years the grandparents hosted card parties for the neighbors during winter months.
