Immediately after their graduation they were married and set up housekeeping in a new home in Atkinson, where in that same year Mr Raymer and D H Moulton established the hardware firm of Moulton and Raymer.

3 years ago the partnership of Moulton and Raymer was dissolved. Mr Moulton and his family moved to Montana and Mr Raymer took over the business and conducted it until two weeks before his death.

Floyd was a member of the Presbyterian church of this city and for a time served as superintendent of the Sunday School of the Church. He also was the youngest member of the masonic lodge 164 of this city, having finished his degree work about two months ago, and was a past grand of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Atkinson lodge no 111.

OBITUARY - RAYMER

George Raymer, the subject of this sketch, was born March 30,1833 in Potter Co, Penn. At the age of 4 years he moved with his parents to the state of NY, living on a farm near Niagara. Later they removed to Milwaukee, Wis, his father's farm being the present site of the city of Milwaukee. In 1845 he removed to Rock City, Ill.

April 12,1855 he was married to Katherine Koller. To this union 8 children were born 2 of them dying in infancy.

Again trecking westward he came to Seward Co, Nebr,in the fall of 1873. 2 years later, Oct 26,1875, his wife died, leaving him the care of a large family. On Oct 27,1878, he was married to Sarah Brex. To this union, 3 children were born.

He came to Holt Co in 1883 where he resided until the time of his death which occurred at his home in Atkinson, Dec 10,1911. His age being 78 years, 8 months and 10 days.

As the sun was westering, sinking to its rest on that calm, peaceful Sabbath evening, Mr Raymer quietly bid farewell to the tenement of clay and slipped away from the friends of north into the great Beyond. His going was as peaceful as the setting of the sun on a clear calm Autumn evening. May we not hope the awakening is as glorious as the dawning of a new Spring morning.

Mr Raymer had the usual hardships incident to Pioneer life. Right well he served his day and generation, contending sometimes against unequal forces. Some time ago his health began to fail making it necessary to give up the struggle.

In early life he united with the Evangelical church with which organization he never severed his connection.

He leaves to mourn his departure a wife and 8 children; Isarel of Roulette, Penn; Dan and Charley of Lincoln, Nebr; Mary Boullis of Jennings, Kan; Mrs Roy Smith, George, Earl and Carrol of Atkinson.

He also leaves 2 brothers and 4 sisters, one of which, Mrs Bokhof, resides in Atkinson, besides other relatives.

Homeward the swift winged seaful takes its flight,
The ebbing tide breaks, softly on on the sand,
Sunlit boats draw shoreward for the night,
Shadows deepen o'er sea and land,
Be still, my soul, thine hour will come,
Behold one evening God will call Thee home.

OBITUARY - ROBINSON

Roy M Robinson, the subject of his sketch, was born at Mead, Saunders County, Nebraska, on January 26th, 1883. Here the days of his childhood were spent until he was 16 years of age when his parents removed to Atkinson, Holt County. In this vicinity he grew from boyhood to young manhood, attending school, and clerking in various stores about town.

About a year ago he went to O'Neill where he had accepted a position with J P Mann & Co, which he held for about a year and which proved to be his last employment. A little over two weeks ago, not feeling well, he took a vacation, expecting to be able to return to work again in a few days. But his illness developed into typhoid fever of a malignant form.

Two weeks ago Saturday morning he took the early train for Lincoln where he entered a hospital. Under the ravages of the fever he rapidly grew worse, and his parents and relatives apprised of his danger. In spite all the care that love and medical aid could give, he went rapidly down and was soon beyond the reach of human power to help. The end came on Thursday, September 14,1911 and he died at the age of 28 years and 7 months.

In death he leaves to mourn his early decease, his parents, Mr and Mrs S P Robinson, three sisters, Pearl, Mable, and Hazel, one brother, Fletcher Robinson, his grandparents, Mr and Mrs J F Grefory of University Place, three cousins, Hazel and Helen Williams and Mrs Art Chambers, an uncle and wife, Mr and Mrs S A Gregory of University Place. Besides these he leaves a host of friends who sincerely regret his passing.

The funeral services were held from the rink Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The I O O F of which he was a member attended in a body. The Newport Lodge of which his father was a member also attended in a body.

The services were composed of the simple rites of the Order, E J Mack acting Noble Grand and A H York, Chaplain, Mr York also giving the address.

The splendid array of flowers, the offerings of hearts that loved him, were a splendid token of the esteem in which he was held by his old school mates and friends.

A precious one from us is gone.
A place is vacant in our home
     That never can be filled.
God in his wisdom hath recalled
The boon that life had given
And though the body slumbers here
The soul is safe in heaven.

The pallbearers at the funeral were his boyhood friends; Charles Tomsik, Lewis Miller, Joseph Kafka, Roy Griffin, Otto Stratton, and Earl Stilson. After the services at the rink were concluded the body was taken to Woodlawn cemetery and tenderly laid to rest.
