FORMER ATKINSON RESIDENT DIES IN GLENDO, WYOMING

     Edward Ziska, resident of Atkinson from 1890, when he came here with his parents at the age of 11 years, until 1914 whenhe moved to Wyoming, died Tuesday, June 11 in Glendo. Mr Ziska was 50 years of age. He is survived by his wife and one child, a five year old son.

     Edward Ziska was born in Ringgold County, Iowa, Aug 6,1879, the youngest of 11 children. He came to Atkinson in 1890 with his parents and in 1914 went to Wyoming where he took up a claim and homesteaded, at which place he lived until his death. In 1916 he was married to Miss Jennie Blaha of St Paul, Nebr. The funeral service was held at St Patrick's Church at Douglas, Wyoming. Besides his wife and child he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs Mary Mlinar, Mrs Frances Freouf, Mrs Matilda Olson, Miss Anna Ziska, John, Fred and Joseph, all of Atkinson; Mrs Barbara Hunt of Stuart; Anton of Fairfax, SD; Frank of Walla Walla, Wash.
