died crushed to death beneath a caterpillar tractor Saturday on a county road eight miles north of Emmet.

MRS ALEX SEARL IS DEAD, FUNERAL TODAY
DEATH CAME WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON AT HER HOME; LIVED IN ATKINSON 38 YEARS

     Mrs Alex Searl passed away at her home in Atkinson Wednesday afternoon She had been a resident of this town for 38 years and was almost 83 years of age. A private funeral service will be held today at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs Frank Hoyt, in Atkinson and burial will be made in Woodlawn Cemetery.

     Jane Ann Spaulding was born May 8,1848 at Crown Point, Essex Co, NY. She was united in marriage to John C Bridges on Dec 7,1865 and to this union 2 children were born, Mrs W F Munt of Long Pine, who survives, and a son who died in infancy.

     Mrs Bridges was separated from her husband and on May 28,1892 she was married to Alex Searl in Atkinson and has since made her home here. No children were born to Mr and Mrs Searl.

     Besides her husband, Mrs Searl is survived by her daughter, Mrs Munt of Long Pine and 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson, who know her as a kind and loving mother and grandmother, always doing for others. The grandchildren are as follows:Mrs John Cearns of Rapid City,SD, Mrs George McKee of Gordon, Mrs Frank Hoyt and Mrs John Mlinar of Atkinson, Mrs Orland Duff of Winner, SD, Bill Munt of Long Pine, a number of great grandchildren also survive her.
