Modern Brotherhood of America Lodge No. 218

Grand Island Lodge No. 218 of this fraternity was organized in 1898, at G. A. R. hall. E. B. Engleman was the first president, and one of its members, S. S. Hayman, has served as state manager. The home of this order is at Mason City, Iowa, and in the past twenty years the M. B. A. has enjoyed a

splendid growth throughout Nebraska. The present officers of this lodge are C. Bromley, president, Mrs. Haney, vice-president, Mrs. Bromwell, chaplain, Minnie Roush, secretary and treasurer, Ella Tharp, conductor, and Benson, watchman.
