30 Mile Canal


Irrigation

   In 1922 Dawson County had 29,000 acres irrigated, as reported by the State Bureau of Irrigation, Power and Drainage. For 1927 their figures were 105,812 acres in Dawson County, to which total must be added the 15,000 acres irrigated by the Thirty Mile Canal. This acreage is watered by the following projects:

   On March 10, 1928, the combined deposits in the six banks of Cozad and Gothenburg totalled $2,954,487.74. On the same date the total deposits in the banks of Dawson County were $6,637,326.10.
