Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., August 14, 1918, and trained at Logan, Utah, San Francisco, Calif., and Los Angles, Calif., for duty with the Heavy Artillery. His unit had orders to sail when the armistice was signed. Discharged on March 8, 1919.

2. Private Leon H. Rice,    Son of H. W. Rice, Amherst, Neb.
Entered the service at Camp Greenleaf, Ga., and trained at that point for duty in Vet. Co., No. 1, Veterinary Corps, Medical Department. Discharged December 16, 1918, and practicing veterinarian at Pleasanton, Nebraska.

3. Private William Ray Trimmer,    Son of A. M. Trimmer, Keystone, Neb.
Entered the service at Bloomington, Neb., March 8, 1918, and trained at Fort Heath and Andras, Boston, Mass., for duty with Bat. F, 71st Coast Artillery. Discharged March 7, 1919.

4. Private Merle A. Sherard,    Son of E. E. Sherard, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., August 29, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. 3, 164th Depot Brigade, U. S. Infantry. Received his discharge papers on March 29, 1919.

5. Private Carrol A. Geist,    Son of O. O, Geist, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Lincoln, Neb., Oct. 4, 1918, for training with the S. A. T. C., at the Nebraska State University, in Co. D, Sec. A. Received his discharge papers in December, 1918.

6. Private Louie F. Overhiser Son of Barney Overhiser, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Woodman, Colo., for training at Nitro, Va., and Gettysburg, Pa., with Mess No. 7, Station No. 9. Saw service as officers mess cook. Discharged Dec. 12, 19l8. Great nephew of General Putman and great grandson of Gen. C. D. Green.

7. Earl Danburg,    Son of William Danburg, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., and was trained at Camp Mead. Maryland, for duty with Co. 18, 5th Artillery. Saw service in France.

8. Jessie Danburg,    Son of William Danburg, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., and trained at Camp Mead, Maryland, for duty with Co. 18, 5th Artillery. Saw service in France.

1. Corporal George O. Tibbetts,    Son of Mrs. M. A. Tibbetts, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Ravenna, Neb., and trained at Camp Cody, for duty with Co. H 134th Infantry, 34th Division. Saw six and one-half months service in France with his division and received his discharge papers May 17, 1919.

2. Corporal Floyd Mercer,    Son of Chalk Mercer, Gibbon, Neb.
Entered the service at Milwaukee, Wis., October 12, 1918, for service as electrical Engineer, and received his discharge papers November 26, 1918. At present is working as a telephone repair man.

3. First Lieutenant Frank E. Wallace,    Son of James A. Wallace, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Fort Snelling, Minn., May 15, 1917, and trained at Fort Snelling, Camp Dodge and Camp Hancock. Commanded September Replacement for duty overseas. Discharge January 25, 1919. Insurance business, Kearney.

4. M. A. Priel,    Son of Mrs. Priel, Overton, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., for training at Camp Funston with the 354th Ambulance Co., 314th Sanitary Train. Saw service in France and later with the Army of Occupation, later returning with the 89th Division.

5. Sergeant James W. Boyd,    Son of J. A. Boyd, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., May 30, 1918, training at Fort Logan and Camp Johnston, for duty in the Transportation and Supply Co. No. 318, returning in March, 1919. Discharged April 5, 1919, at Camp Dodge.

6. Sergeant Otis L. Snedeker,    Son of Samuel C. Snedeker, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service through the Kearney S. A. T. C., Oct. 17, 1918, and trained at the Kearney State Normal until after the armistice was signed, when he received his discharge on December 10, 1918.

7. Private Lytton B. Smith,    Son of Jay Smith, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Chicago, Ill., June 8, 1918, and was trained at Jackson, N. C., for service in the 322d Infantry, (Wild Cat Division), seeing service in the Vosges, near Verdun, France. Discharged May 11, 1919.

8. Private Roy W. Keep,    Son of W. C. Keep, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Coleridge, Neb., April 25, 1917, and was trained at San Francisco, for duty in Coast Artillery, transferred to 62d Artillery Battery E, 32d Brigade. Saw service in France in air raid work. Discharged March 11, 1919.

Entered the service at Glen Elder, Kansas, July 1, 1918, trained at Ft. Logan, Camp Jackson and Fort Bliss, for duty as an aero mechanic, and received his discharge papers February 25, 1919.

2. Omar D. Slayter,    Son of W. H. Slayter, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service on February 5, 1918, for duty and trained at Forts Crook, Riley, Leavenworth, and Robinson for Nurse in Medical Corps. Received his discharge papers January 7, 1919. Home in Kearney.

3. Dean E. Highland,    Sweetwater, Nebraska.
Entered the service for duty with the 138th Headquarters Company, U. S. Infantry, A. E. F. 35th Division, seeing service with his division and later quartered at Leonville, France. Has since returned for demobilization.

4. Private Charles H. Brown,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Oct. 6, 1917; trained at Camp Funston for duty with Co. A, 128th M. G. B. seeing service in the Alsace, Argonne-Meuse and Verdun sectors. Discharged May 2, 1919.

5. Private David E. Gates,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., July 25, 1918, and trained at Camp Dodge, for duty with the 163d Infantry, 63d Division in France, receiving his discharge papers on November 11, 1918.

6. Raymond E. Karner,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., August 28. 1918, and trained at Camp Funston and Sam Houston, for duty with M. T. R. C., Unit 304, receiving his discharge sometime during the summer of 1919.

7. Lewis Ray Hollingsworth, Mechanic,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., in September, 1918, and trained at Lincoln, Nebraska as an Auto Mechanic. Received his discharge in December, 1918. Resides on a farm near Kearney.

8. Clarence A. Rose,    Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., Oct. 4, 1917; trained at Camp Funston and Camp Mills for duty with M. G. Co., 138th Inf., 35th Division. Three weeks service in trenches. "Over the top" at Argonne Forest Sept 26. Also at St. Mihiel.

Entered the service at Lincoln, Neb., June 15, 1918, for training at Neb. State Uni., Ft. Leavenworth, and Camp Mead, for duty with the 222d Field Signal Battalion. Discharged February 24, 1919.

2. Private Frank J. Schultz,    Son of Mrs. H. J. Schultz, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Vancouver, Wash., December 11, 1917, and trained at San Benito, Texas, for duty with Troop K, 16th Cavalry. Has been in border service ever since his enlistment.

3. Private Raymond O. Whitney,    Son of the late H. B. Whitney, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Gillette, Wyo., in June, 1917, and trained at Camp Lewis, and Camp Fremont, for duty with Co. F. 8th Infantry. Was overseas in quartermaster's department for seven months. Farming at Gillette, Wyo.

4. Private Harry A. Parr,    Son of B. C. Parr, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., in 1916, for duty on the Mexican border, and stationed at Laano Grande. During the world war he enlisted in the shipbuilders corp.

5. Sergeant Earl Smith,    Son of Vern Smith, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., in August, 1915, with Co. L. 4th Neb., for Mexican border service. Later with the 134th M. G. Co., 34th Division, in France; transferred to Military Police duty in Paris.

6. Private Ralph E. Ginther,   Gibbon, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Lincoln, Neb., in June, 1917, for service with the American Expeditionary Forces in France. Had earlier belonged to Co. L. 4th Neb., and served with the company on the Mexican border. Discharged May 15. '19.

7. Private William M. Swinyer,    Son of Abe Swinyer, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 28, 1918 and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. K, 355th Infantry, 89th Division. Saw service at St. Mihiel and in the Argonne-Meuse offensives.

8. Private Simon Laycock,    Son of Mrs. James Laycock, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., April 29, 1918, and trained at Camp Funston, for duty with Co. K, 89th Division. Saw service at St. Mihiel and Argonne-Meuse offensives, returning to this country for demobilization.

2. Private Arthur H. Barrett,    Son of A. Barrett, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Kimball, Neb., Sept. 18, 1918, for training at Manhattan, Kansas, in Co. 2, Section B, Mechanical Engineering. Discharged December 9, 1918.

3. Private Charles F. Heider,    Son of Joseph Heider, Elmcreek, Neb.
Entered the service at Omaha, Neb., Dec. 17, 1917, and trained at the University of Nebraska Medical College, for duty with the Medical Reserve Corp. Discharged Dec. 12, '18.

4. Private Ralph C. Barr,   Kearney, Nebraska.
Entered the service at Ft. Riley, March 4, 1918, and was trained at that point and Camp Mead, for duty in Evacuation Hospital No. 16. Saw service in the Meuse-Argonne offensive in France and later in Germany. Discharged April 29, 1919.

5. Private Clifford F. Erickson,    Son of Mrs. Hannah Erickson, Kearney, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., in April, 1917, and was trained at Camp Cody, for duty with 119th Co. of Artillery, 32d Division. Saw service at Chateau-Thierry. Discharged in May. 1919.

6. Second Lieutenant Claude R. Golding,    Son of E. Golding, Harvard, Neb.
Entered the service at Camp Dodge, May 28, 1918, and was trained at Camp Dodge, Camp Taylor, Camp Jackson and Camp Sheridan, for duty with Battery D, 74th Infantry, 21st Division. Discharged December 1, 1918.

7. Private Lewis H. Bushhousen,    Son of Charles Bushhousen, Ravenna, Neb.
Entered the service at Kearney, Neb., July 21, 1918, and was trained at Camp Dodge and Ft. Leavenworth, for duty with Co. G, Signal Corps, 34th Division. Saw service in France.

8. Private Harry F. Wilkins,    Son of Chas. E. Wilkins, Shelton, Neb.
Entered the service at Camp Dodge, Ia., July 21, 1918, and trained at Camp Dodge and Fort Benjamin for duty with Motor Trans. Corps. Discharged January 24, 1918.
