Poole Pond Cemetery is located in rural Hamilton County. Hamilton County Property Appraiser Parcel 1462-000 in Section 35 Twp 1N Range 15 E; (Lat. 30.4991096 Long. -82.7762409). This area of Hamilton County is referred to as Genoa. Although there is no longer a town there, there is green sign designating the area.
From Exit 451 at I-75 take US 129 North and travel 2.5 miles to Junction US 41/US 129. Take US 41 South and travel 8.8 miles there will be a dirt road on the left marked "Contractor's Gate #7" [this had been a PCS Phosphate mining area, since mined out]. Turn onto the dirt road there will be signs marked Pool Pond Cemetery. Travel 1.8 miles and there will be dirt road going off to the left, travel 1/10 mile to the cemetery with a pavilion inside a chain link fence.
Poole Pond Cemetery was first published by Winnie Smith Hodges in Cemeteries of Hamilton County in 1991. The cemetery was re-surveyed and photographed by Lesleigh Laite Butts on March 25, 2007.
