McCall Cemetery is located on NW 36th Place in rural Jennings in an area once referred to as Octahatchee. Hamilton County Property Appraiser Parcel 4959-000 in Section 35 Twp 2N Range 11E; (Lat. 30.5302127 Lon. -83.1962535). Current owner of record is Cleveland Selph, Jr.
From I-75 west of Jasper take Exit 460 onto SR 6 West and travel 10.4 miles turn right onto NW CR 143 and travel 4.1 miles and turn right onto NW 36th Place (unpaved/graded road). Travel NW 36th Place for 5/10 mile. The cemetery will be on the hill to the left under an oak tree in crop/pastureland owned by Cleveland Selph, Jr.
Information from one longtime resident was that there were approximately 40 burials in the McCall Cemetery. The cemetery has been decimated; monument footers and remains of headstones in a pile, some appear to be buried. The only visible headstone is that of M. G. McCall born 11 July 1806 died 27 Oct 1875. The entries provided were extracted from Cemeteries of Hamilton County by Winnie Smith Hodges. Get permission from Cleveland Selph to enter the property.
