Harrison African-American Cemetery

Jasper, Florida

Harrison Cemetery was an African-American cemetery which is no longer in existence. There are planted pines in that section today (June 15, 2009). Information on this cemetery was taken from Veterans' Graves Registration Project, St. Augustine, Florida 1940-1941; Hamilton County, Florida No. 24. Prepared by Veterans' Grave Registration, Project Division of Professional and Service Projects Work Projects Administration. Sponsored by the Military Department of the State of Florida and co-sponsored by the American Legion, Department of Florida Hamilton1940 - 1941.

Cemetery directions cited as follows: Hamilton County Section 34, Twp 2N, Range 14E. From the intersection of US Hwy 41 and SR 116 E (currently SR 6) in the town of Jasper, go east on SR 116 E (SR 6) for 3 miles. Turn left (north) on dirt road and go 6/10 mile to cemetery which lies on left (west) of road.
