Coordinator's Notes
The oldest burial in the Bellville Methodist Church Cemetery is that of Robert Lee Outlaw who was born September 17, 1776 and died July 10, 1808. This would have been 19 years before Hamilton County was created from the westernmost portion of Duval County. The surnames in this cemetery are well represented in the current population of Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee County area. The last known burial was that of Emma S. Bell who was born February 11, 1845 and died January 18, 1915. Presumably, Emma was a member of the family for whom Bellville was named.
