John Lee Sparkman, Sr.

John Lee Sparkman was the son of William S. Sparkman who was a pioneer of the State of Florida; having been a resident prior to Florida's becoming a Territory of the United States. John Lee is buried in the Hatchett Creek - Pons - Sparkman Cemetery located in the Paynes Prairie area of Alachua County. It is believed that WIlliam S. Sparkman, his father is also buried there
