Albert Esbach and Moses Gangon, fishermen on the tug Fearless, had a narrow escape yesterday from being seriously injured by flying glass while homeward bound last night. The tug struck a big sea while bucking a westerly wind and one of the large three-quarter inch windows was broken and the glass struck the two men. Esbach received a large gash below the knee of his right leg and lost considerable blood before he received medical aid.

The tug was out on a long run yesterday, thirty miles from Sheboygan. The wind had made the lake rough and when the tug was returning she had to buck into the waves. One huge wave was met and the great pressure of water was forced against the pilot house windows. A piece of glass from the broken window struck Esbach who was sitting on the locker. Other members of the crew were in the pilot house but escaped injury.

Esbach went to his home as soon as the tug landed last night and had the wounded member dressed and today was able to resume his duties.
