Henry Zeier, 71, of Milwaukee, a native of Sheboygan, died Sunday after a short illness.

He was born in Sheboygan on July 2, 1913, a son of the late Henry and Christina Roth Zeier.

He attended Trinity Lutheran School.

Mr. Zeier worked at the Ross Glove Co. in Sheboygan before moving to Milwaukee, where he was employed for 25 years as a city maintenance employee.

Surviving are three sons, James and Dennis of Milwaukee and Howard, Sheboygan; one daughter, Cherryl, Milwaukee; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Selma Zelle of Sheboygan and one brother, Christ Zeier, Sheboygan. He was preceded in death by his wife and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Max Sass and Sons Funeral Home, 1515 W. Oklahoma Ave., Milwaukee.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Phillip P. Zimmermann, 81, of 2009 Church St., New Holstein, died at 6 p.m. Thursday evening at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.

Mr. Zimmermann was born in the Town of Schleswig, Manitowoc County, June 8, 1899, a son of the late Phillip and Rosina Schmitt Zimmermann. He attended Steinthal Grade School, Manitowoc County.

Mr. Zimmermann was employed at the Lawson Enbine Division of Tecumseh Products from 1947 to 1951. From 1951 until retirement in 1962, he worked at the Wilbersheid Mink Ranch at New Holstein.

He married Frieda Deifenthaler Aug. 30, 1929 at her home in the Town of Rhine, Sheboygan County.

Mr. Zimmermann was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein.

Survivors are his wife; two sons, Marvin of Sheboygan Falls and Melvin of Manitowoc; three daughters, Mrs. Herbert {Mildred} Rosso of Port Washington, Mrs. Marvin {Shirley} Thimmig of New Holstein, and Mrs. Harold {Arline} Bouse of Kenosha; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Louis Niemuth of Sheboygan.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. at St. John United Church of Christ, New Holstein. The Rev. Albert Borns, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Kiel City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home, New Holstein after 4 p.m. Sunday, from 8 to 10 a.m. on Monday, and at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of services.

Arthur Zimmermann, 74, of 419 Niagara Ave., a retired chauffeur for several well known Sheboygan families, died late Friday afternoon at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.

For many years he served as a chauffeur in the employ of the late Otto Kaufmann Sr., the Julius Kroos family and later for Otto Jung Sr. A congennial personality, "Art" Zimmermann was particularly popular with countless children whom he entertained by producing magic tricks or small toys that he invariably carried with him.

He was born Dec. 18, 1888, in the Town of Wilson, a son of the late Trugott and Wilhelmina Zimmermann. He was married to Martha Mau by the late Rev. C. P. Schulz of Trinity Lutheran Church in January, 1911.

Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Lester {Dorothy} Burtard of Manitowoc; a son, Leslie, of Sheboygan; a sister, Mrs. Frank Johnson, Sheboygan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Kroos-Horn Funeral Home. The Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor emeritus of Trinity Lutheran Church, will officiate and burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Theodore H. Zimmermann, 52, of 925 Union avenue, died at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Sheboygan Memorial hospital following a lingering illness.

The son of Traugott and Wilhelmina Zimmermann, the deceased was born in Sheboygan on Feb. 19, 1894. He attended Bethlehem Lutheran parochial school and was confirmed at the Bethlehem Lutheran church in 1908.

He was employed as a mechanic at the R. H. Thieman company for 25 years, but retired because of ill health last August. His marriage to Miss Hilde Neese was performed Dec. 6, 1919, at the Immanuel Lutheran church.

A veteran of World War I, Mr. Zimmermann served overseas with Company F, 311th Supply train of the 86th division, and during World War II he was a member of the army aviation cadet committee and the Sixth Service command council of Sheboygan. He was a member of Wolf-Olson post No. 1230, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and a member of Our Saviors' Lutheran church.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Leroy, Madison, and Pvt. Theodore Zimmermann, Jr., with the U.S. army in California; one daughter, Mildred, at home; his mother, Mrs. Wilhelmina Zimmermann, two brothers, Arthur and Martin, and a sister, Mrs. Frank Johnson, all of Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Steffen Funeral chapels. The Rev. Walter Laesch, pastor of Our Saviors' Lutheran church, will officiate, and interment will be made in Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 o'clock this evening until the time of the services.

Officers of the Wolf-Olson post will hold military rites at the funeral chapel at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Last rites for Theodore H. Zimmermann, 925 Union avenue, who died Monday at the Memorial hospital, were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Steffen Funeral chapel. The Rev. Walter Laesch of Our Saviors' Lutheran church officiated and burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

During the services Mrs. Oscar Langner and Mrs. Harvey Halverson sang "Rock of Ages" and "Be Still My Soul" accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Fred Kallien.

Pallbearers were: Herman Maas, Henry Brumschmid, Victor Loebel, Arthur Kolberg, Lester Theune and Herman Stanisch.

Military services were held Wednesday evening by Wolf-Olson Post No. 1230, V.F.W. with Commander A. M. Konrad, Sr., Vice Commander Arthur Erbstoesser, Chaplain Ed. Burnette and Bugler Kenneth Froh taking part. Daughters of the Unit sang "Soldier Boy."

Military rites were conducted at the grave with A. M. Konrad in charge. Firing squad members were Ed. Burnette, Gerald Siefert, C. Block, E. Mahnke; color bearers were C. Benke and Marvin Fritsch; bugler was Kenneth Froh. Floral tributes were received from the Bethlehem Lutheran Ladies league, R. H. Thieman Co., Jung Shoe Co., Wolf-Olson Post No. 1230 V.F.W., Mildred's Club, V.F.W. Auxiliary and Olson Floral Shop.

Among those from away who attended the rites were Herman Neese and son, Herman, Jr., of Batavia; Mrs. Lester Burkhardt and daughter, Barbara of Manitowoc, and numerous others from this vicinity.

Mrs. Wilhelmine Zimmermann, 88, 1220 S. Thirteenth street, widow of Traugott Zimmermann, passed away Sunday morning at the Memorial hospital. Born in Prenzlau, Germany, on May 20, 1861, she came to this country when 21 years old, direct to Sheboygan where she engaged in domestic work.

She was married to Traugott Zimmermann of the town of Wilson on April 24, 1883, at Trinity Lutheran church by the late Rev. J. G. Goehringer. The family always made their home in this city. Mrs. Zimmermann was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran church, a member of the German Ladies' Aid and the Mission Society.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Johnson of this city; two sons, Arthur and Martin of this city; eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her husband passed away December 5, 1932, and one son Theodore passed away three years ago.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Lutheran church with the Rev. Carl Ladewig and the Rev. Rudolph Schroth officiating, and interment will be made in Lutheran cemetery. Friends may call at the Ramm Funeral home from this evening until 11 a.m. Tuesday and at the church from noon Tuesday until the time of the services.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilhelmine Zimmermann, widow of Traugott Zimmermann, 1220 S. Thirteenth street, who passed away Sunday morning at Memorial hospital, were held at Bethlehem Lutheran church at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Carl W. Ladwig and the Rev. Rudolph Schroth officiated, and burial was made in Lutheran cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ray Johnson, Leslie, LeRoy, Theodore and Jerome Zimmermann, and Wayne Bosshardt.

The school children sang two songs at the services in church, "Saviour I Follow On" and "Wait My Soul in Patience."

Among the floral tributes were those from the Heinecke Co., neighbors, Bethlehem Ladies' Aid and Dugout No. 158 N.O.T.R.

Those who attended the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Burthardt of Manitowoc, Mrs. Louise Davis, Lester R. Davis and Mrs. Paul Langheinrich, Jr., all of Milwaukee.

While the body rested in state at the Ramm Funeral home many friends and relatives of the deceased came to pay their respects.

Margaret B. Zimmermann, 67, of 247 Egan St., Plymouth, passed away Tuesday evening, Dec. 28, 1993, at Valley Manor Nursing Home in Plymouth, following a lengthy struggle with cancer.

She was born June 1, 1926 in New Holstein, a daughter of the late Christ and Ella Neumann Zimmermann.

She had been employed at Richardson Brothers in Sheboygan Falls for 41 years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the 25-year club and the Four Seasons Group of Richardson Brothers.

She was a life-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel.

Margaret was a friend to many and is survived by one aunt, Isabella Niemuth and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday evening, Dec. 30, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kiel. The Rev. Richard Warnke, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery. Friends may all at the church in Kiel from 4 p.m., Thursday, to the time of services.

A memorial fund is being established in her name, for Trinity Lutheran Organ Fund and the Choir Music Fund.

Louis Zimmermann, 69, veteran town of Meeme cheesemaker, died at his home Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. after a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:15 p.m. from the C.J. Meiselwitz funeral home at Kiel and at 2 p.m. from the St. John's Evangelical Chruch at Schwartzwald. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Zimmermann was born at Rhine Center, Sheboygan county, March 8, 1873, a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Conrad Zimmermann. On Feb. 16, 1896, he married Miss Louise Olm of the town of Meeme and for the next nine years the couple lived at Marathon, Wood County. In 1904 they returned to the Town of Meeme and operated a cheese factory in Schwartzwald until retiring in 1936.

Survivors are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Lutze of the Town of Liberty and Mrs. Arvin Hartmann of the town of Meeme; four sons, Arthur of Sheboygan, Adolph of Random Lake, George of Osman, and Walter of Centerville; and one brother, George of Sheboygan.

Four sons of Louis Zimmermann, retired county cheesemaker, were pallbearers at his funeral Friday with two sons-in-laws. The sons were Arthur, Adolph, George and Walter and the sons-in-law were Walter Lutze and Arwin Hartmann.

Christ J. Zimmermann, 75, of 508 N. 14th St., died Wednesday night at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital where he had been hospitalized for the past 10 days.

Born in the Town of Rhine, Jan. 16, 1895, he was a son of Phillip and Rose {Schmitt} Zimmermann. He attended Woodland Park District School.

On Sept. 30, 1919, he married Ella Neumann at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersville. She died in 1949.

On May 4, 1968, he married Mrs. Hilda {Schweikert} Kappel at Trinity Lutheran Church at Kiel.

Mr. Zimmermann was a World War I veteran, and was employed at the Richardson Brothers Co., Sheboygan Falls, retiring in 1960.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel; Barracks Post No. 2091 Veterans of World War I; and the South Side Golden Age Club.

Survivors are his wife, at home, one daughter, Miss Margaret Zimmermann, Plymouth; one step-daughter, Mrs. Kenneth {June} Schulz, Gatlinburg, Tenn.; one step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Louis Niemuth, Sheboygan; one brother, Phillip, New Holstein.

A daughter, four brothers, and one sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Kiel, with the Rev. Claire Reiter, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial will be in Kiel Cemetery.

Walter F. Zimmermann, 75, of 12030 Lakeshore Road, Cleveland, died Saturday at St. Nicholas Hospital, following a lengthy illness.

He was born Jan. 19, 1909, in the Town of Herman, a son of Louis and Louisa Olm Zimmermann. He graduated from Kiel High School and Sheboygan Business College.

On Sept. 6, 1934, he married Lydia Schuette at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in August.

Prior to his marriage, Mr. Zimmermann worked at Kohler Co. for six years. The couple lived in the Town of Centerville where they farmed until retirement in 1969.

He was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland, where he had served on the church council and as president of the congregation. He had been on the school board of the Maple Leaf School in the Town of Centerville and had served as director of St. John Cemetery in the town.

He was a member of the Cleveland Senior Citizens Club and had served on the organizing committee.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Donald W. of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Charles {Janice} Schneider of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Lutze of Manitowoc and Mrs. Frieda Hartmann of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two great-step-grandchildren.

Four brothers preceded him in death.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. The Rev. Henry F. Koch, pastor will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A memorial fund for St. John and St. Peter Church and St. Nicholas Hospital dialysis center has been established in mr. Zimmermann's name.

Zimmermann - Ludwig Zimmermann, an old resident of the town of Wilson, died at St. Nicholas Hospital, Sunday morning, Feb. 13 of pneumonia, after an illness of only a few days. The deceased was born in Germany Oct. 23, 1834, and came to America with his parents when thirteen years old. His wife and nine children survive.

Ludwig Zimmerman, aged 75 years an old resident of the Town of Wilson died at St. Nicholas hospital Sunday morning at 5:30 from an attack of pneumonia from which he had been suffering for several days.

He was born in Germany Oct. 23, 1834, but has lived in this country for many years. He is survived by his wife and several children, most of whom reside in this city.

The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of Henry Zimmerman, a son, in the Town of Wilson, the Rev. Mr. Esch officiated.

Interment was at Flader's Rest.

Mrs. Elsie Zimmermann, 90, formerly of 1215 S. 13th St., Sheboygan, died Tuesday, May 2, 1989 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home where she has lived since October 1983.

Elsie was born to the late Friedick and Albertina {Neise} Beiersdorf on August 15, 1898 in Sheboygan County. She attended Sheboygan area schools.

Elsie was united in marriage to Martin Zimmermann on June 12, 1920 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Martin died in 1956.

She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church as well as the Bethlehem Lutheran Mission Society. She was a longtime member of the DAV Chapter No. 15 of Sheboygan.

Survivors include one son, Jerome {Margaret} of Sheboygan; two granddaughters, Mrs. Scott {Linda} Springer of Rockford, IL., Mrs. Russell {Lisa} Schultz, Columbus, WI., three grandsons, Dale {Jean} of Sheboygan, WI., Mark {Donna} of Decatur, IL., and Paul of Olympia, WA. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, four sons, two sisters, and four brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 5, 1989 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. James Hartman officiating.

Friends may call at the church from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5, 1989. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Louise Zimmermann, widow of Louis Zimmermann, of 2219 S. 16th St., passed away Friday morning at the Memorial Hospital.

Nee Gartman, she was born April 23, 1873, in the town of Wilson, daughter of August and Marie Gartman. She attended rural school and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Wilson, with the class of 1886.

On April 25, 1891, she was married to Louis Zimmermann. The couple since had made their home in Sheboygan. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include five sons, Walter, at home, Hubert and Clarence of Sheboygan, George of Milwaukee, and Arno of Madison; one daughter, Mrs. Walter {Laura} Steffen, of Sheboygan; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Henry Drews, Mrs. Ferdinand Bahr, Mrs. Clarence Bennink, and Mrs. Ferdinand De Sombre, all of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Rudolph Thielman of town Wilson; and three brothers, Valentine and John, town of Wilson, and Richard of Seattle, Wash.

Her husband passed away on April 21, 1953. Her parents and one sister also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, at the Ramm Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl W. Ladewig will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot in the Lutheran Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m., today, until the hour of services.

He was born in Sheboygan on Oct. 15, 1897, son of Louis and Louise Gartman Zimmermann.

He attended Bethlehem Lutheran School and Franklin School.

On June 24, 1922, he and Anna Reimer were married in Sheboygan.

Mr. Zimmermann worked at Dillingham Manufacturing Co. for 25 years before retiring in 1962.

Surviving are his widow; two sons, Clyde of Greendale and Willis of Sheboygan; two brothers, Clarence of Sheboygan and Arno of Clintonville; three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Mrs. Anna M. Zimmermann, 86, formerly of 2224 S. 15th St., and a resident of Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility since November, died Wednesday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital.

The former Anna Reimer was born Jan. 20, 1899, in Germany, a daughter of the late Richard and Emilie Bunke Reimer. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Sheboygan. On June 24, 1922, she was married to Hubert Zimmermann in Sheboygan. He died in 1979.

Survivors include two sons, Clyde of Greendale, and Willis of Sheboygan, three grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Minnie Ponath of Sheboygan Falls. She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ramm-Ziegler Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Koch, pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ, officiating.

Clarence R. Zimmerman, 84, of 605 Fairway Dr., died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 12, 1992, at his home, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

He was born September 18, 1907, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Louis and Louise Gartman Zimmerman.

On August 14, 1937, he married Lillian Miller at the parsonage of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church.

Mr. Zimmerman served for 30 years in the Sheboygan Police Department, before retiring as a lieutenant in 1962. He then worked for Security National Bank for 15 years, before retiring in 1977. Clarence served his country in the Coast Guard Reserves.

Clarence was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He also played football for the Sheboygan Merchants Football Team.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.

Lillian W. Zimmerman, 85, formerly of 605 Fairway Dr., a resident of Elderhaus, died there, Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998.

Born Feb. 16, 1913, in Sheboygan, Lillian was a daughter of the late William and Louise Wittmer Miller. Lillian attended Jefferson School and was a graduate of Central High School. On Aug. 14, 1937, she was united in marriage to Clarence Zimmerman at the parsonage of St. John Ev & Reformed Church. The couple was married for 54 years before Clarence preceded her in death on May 12, 1992.

Lillian was formerly employed by the H.C. Prange Company as a cashier.

She is survived by four nephews, Marvin {Lorraine} and Robert {Frieda} Methfessel, both of Sheboygan, Willis Zimmerman, Door County, Wis., Clyde Zimmerman, Milwaukee, Wis., other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998, at the Lippert Funeral Home, 1132 Superior Ave. The Rev. Gregory Whelton, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ will officiate. Walter H. Zimmermann, 75, formerly of 2219 S. 16th St., died Wednesday at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home, where he had lived for about five years.

Born in Sheboygan Nov. 10, 1894, the son of the late Louis and Louise Zimmermann, he attended Bethlehem Lutheran School.

Mr. Zimmermann was employed at the Dillingham Manufacturing Co. for approximately 20 years before retiring in 1962.

Mrs. Arthur E. Zastrow, 68, of R. 1, Sheboygan, died Friday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital following a brief illness.

The former Elsie Neese was born Jan. 18, 1905, in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Fred and Wilhelmina Neese. She attended Jefferson School.

On June 9, 1923, she married Arthur E. Zastrow, also of Sheboygan.

Mrs. Zastrow worked at Sunny Ridge for 11 years, retiring in 1970.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Ellsworth {Bernice} Wilharms of Kohler, Mrs. Gus {Ruth} Knabe Jr., Town of Wilson, and Mrs. Roland {Yvonne} Launer of Sheboygan; three sons, Edward of Sheboygan Falls, Ronald of Kohler and Wayne of Sheboygan; 19 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. John Anderson and Mrs. Viola Johnson, both of Sheboygan, and Mrs. Frank Stauber Sr., of Erdman and one brother, Ervin, Town of Sheboygan.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, the Rev. Vernon Jaberg, pastor of St. John UCC, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Arthur E. Zastrow, 74, formerly of R. 1, Sheboygan, died early today at St. Nicholas Hospital following a brief illness. He had resided at Sunny Ridge the past month.

He was born Jan. 6, 1901, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Edward and Ida Zastrow. He attended Bethlehem Lutheran Grade School.

On June 3, 1923, he married Elsie Neese, also of Sheboygan, at St. John United Church of Christ.

The Zastrows resided in the Town of Sheboygan. She died May 11, 1973.

Mr. Zastrow worked at Kohler Co. for 45 1/2 years, retiring in January, 1968. He was a member of St. John UCC and the Kohler Quarter Century Club.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ellsworth {Bernice} Wilharms of Kohler, Mrs. Gustave {Ruth} Knabe of the Town of Wilson and Mrs. Roland {Yvonne} Launer of Sheboygan; three sons, Edward of R. 1, Sheboygan Falls, Ronald, Kohler, and Wayne, Sheboygan; 19 grandchildren and one great granddaughter and one sister, Mrs. Benjamin Berg Sr. of Sheboygan. Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Vernon E. Jaberg, pastor of St. John UCC, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Louis C. Zimmermann, 86, a life-long resident of Sheboygan County, died late Tuesday afternoon at his home, 2219 S. 16th St., after a lingering illness.

Born July 14, 1866, in the Town of Wilson, a son of Ludwig and Wilhelmina Zimmermann, pioneer residents of the county, he attended rural schools in the township.

Following his marriage to Miss Louise Gartmann of the Town of Wilson on April 25, 1891, the couple came to Sheboygan to make their home.

Mr. Zimmermann was employed at the Rway Furniture Co. for more than 35 years, retiring in 1934. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife; five sons, Walter, at home, Hubert and Clarence, of Sheboygan, George, Milwaukee and Arno, of Madison; a daughter, Mrs. Walter {Laura} Steffen, Sheboygan; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and a brother, Henry, of the Town of Wilson.

His parents, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ramm Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Ladewig, pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in Lutheran cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home after noon Friday.

Funeral services for Louis C. Zimmermann, 2219 S. 16th street, who passed away at his home Tuesday afternoon, were held at the Ramm Funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Carl Ladewig of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was made in the family lot in the Lutheran cemetery.

Kenneth Lang sang "Going Home" and "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" accompanied by Mrs. Herbert Grauman.

Pallbearers were: Herbert and Wilbert Gartman, Lester Thieleman, Harvey Drews, Elmer Bahr, and Arthur Zimmermann.

George J. Zimmerman, 68, Milwaukee, a native of Sheboygan, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Milwaukee.

He was born in Sheboygan Feb. 22, 1900, and was married to Helen Wylie.

Mr. Zimmerman had been a resident of Milwaukee for many years working as a salesman for Verifine Dairy there.

Surviving are his wife; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Lucille Peerenboom, Green Bay; four brothers, Walter, Hubert and Clarence, all of Sheboygan, and Arno, Green Bay; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dobratz-Shimon Funeral Home, 3514 N. Port Washington Ave., Milwaukee. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan.

Mrs. Edward Zastrow, 65, of Route 4, Bluebird Lane, Sheboygan Falls, died Wednesday at St. Nicholas Hospital following a prolonged illness.

The former Esther Holldorf was born May 9, 1919, in Glenwood City, a daughter of Fred and Ida Koepsell Holldorf. She attended local schools.

On July 6, 1949, she married Mr. Zastrow at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Croix. The couple then moved to rural Sheboygan Falls.

She was a former Kohler Co. employee and also worked at Bob's Lunch in Sheboygan Falls.

Mrs. Zastrow was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer where she was a former choir member and Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her husband; four brothers, Reinhold Holldorf of Denver, Colo., Fred Jr. of Clear Lake, Albert of Glenwood City, and Henry of Boyceville; five sisters, Mrs. Ella Klauser of Downey, Calif., Mrs. Olga Fox of Ontario, Canada, Mrs. Hilda Voeltz and Mrs. Mathilda Kamm, both of Glenwood City, and Mrs. Idell Gast of Forest.

A brother and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. The Rev. H. William Jordan, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels Friday after 4 p.m. and on Saturday, until 10 a.m. Visitation at the church will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Ronald A. Zastrow, 61, of 217 Upper Rd., Kohler, died on Wednesday, April 29, 1992, at his home after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Zastrow was born on Sept. 13, 1930, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Arthur and Elsie Neese Zastrow. He attended Prange School in the Town of Sheboygan Falls, Jefferson School in Oostburg and graduated from Lakeshore Technical School. He served in the U.S. Army, from 1950 until 1952. He was employed at the Kohler Co., from 1948 until his retirement in 1985.

He married Zita M. Meyer on Sept. 14, 1957, at St. Gregory Catholic Church, in St. Nazianz. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler and its Holy Name Society; life-member of the Disabled American Veterans {DAV}, the Kohler Fire Dept., the Kohler Quarter Century Club and a former member of the Haven Fire Dept.

Survivors include his wife, Zita M.; two daughters, Debra {James} Muellenbach, of Brillion; Vicki {James} Gishia, of Kohler; one son, Terence {Jennifer} Zastrow, of Oconomowoc; six specially treasured grandchildren, Samantha, Pamela, Nicole, Bradley, Dominic and Carlo; three sisters, Bernice {Ellsworth} Wilharms, of Elkhart Lake; Ruth {Gustave} Knabe, of Town of Wilson; Yvonne {Roland} Launer, of Sheboygan; two brothers, Edward {Shirley} Zastrow, of Sheboygan Falls; Wayne {Betty} Zastrow, of Sheboygan; several nieces and nephews and two sisters-in-law, Jeanette {Donald} Schermetzler, of Manitowoc and Rita {Raymond} Ostrenga, of Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Esther Zastrow.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 2, 1992, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Kohler, at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Louis Wilimek, pastor, as celebrant. Family services will precede the mass at the Huehns Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls at 9 a.m. Burial will be made at Woodland Kohler Village Cemetery.

Wayne J. Zastrow, 67, a former Sheboygan resident, died at his home in Tomahawk on Sunday morning, Nov. 28, 1999, following a lengthy illness.

He was born April 26, 1932 in Kohler to Arthur and Elsie {Neese} Zastrow. Wayne served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

On June 4, 1954, he married Betty Wehrwein of Sheboygan at St. John's United Christ of Christ. He was a former employee at the Kohler Company and most recently worked at Eclipse Manufacturing Company, until illness forced his retirement in 1987. He and Betty moved to Tomahawk in 1995 to make their home.

Mr. Zastrow was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ. In the 1970s and 80s, Wayne operated a hobby farm with his family in the town of Sheboygan. He enjoyed the hunting and raising of beagles.

In addition to his wife, Betty; Wayne is survived by five children, Linda {Mike} Rowe of Sheboygan, Cindy {Joe} Nitsch of Tomahawk, Rosemary Blackburn of Sheboygan, Timothy {Barbara} Zastrow of Sheboygan Falls and James {Judy} Zastrow of Sheboygan; ten grandchildren, Jason, Kelly, Jeremy, Joseph, Dawn, Jessica, Michael, Jennifer, Jocelyn and Jordan; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Bernice {Ellsworth} Wilharms of Elkhart Lake, Ruth {Gus} Knabe of Sheboygan and Yvonne {Roland} Launer of Sheboygan; and a sister-in-law, Zita Zastrow of Kohler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Ronald Zastrow.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. The Rev. Gregory Whelton, pastor of St. John's United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will take place in Wildwood Cemetery.

A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorns on Tuesday {TODAY} from 4-8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Falls couple, 2 others die in collision

Kewaskum - A Sheboygan Falls couple were among four people killed Sunday afternoon when two pickup trucks collided near Kewaskum, triggering a chain-reaction crash of six vehicles.

Killed in the crash were Edward F. Zastrow, 69, and Shirley A. Zastrow, about 62, of 124 Bluebird Lane, Sheboygan Falls. They were passengers in a pickup truck driven by their son-in-law, Rueben A. Oppermann, 44, of Kewaskum, who also died in the crash.

The fourth victim was Jason J. Warnicke, 17, of Campellsport, driver of the other pickup truck.

The accident took place a few miles west of Kewaskum on State Highway 28 in the town of Wayne about 3:45 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle driven by Warnicke crossed the center line of the road, the Washington County Sheriff's Department said.

"The westbound vehicle crossed the center line and caught the tail end of an eastbound pickup truck, and then he hit another eastbound pickup truck head-on," said Capt. Jack Theusch of the Sheriff's Department.

He said the westbound truck burned after the impact. Three others in the same eastbound pickup driven by Oppermann were injured, according to the Sheriff's Department. Oppermann's wife, Patricia, underwent surgery Sunday night and their son, Rueben Oppermann Jr., was in intensive care, the department said. Christine Leeson of West Bend was treated and released.

Others among the 14 people in the various vehicles involved in the chain-reaction accident sustained minor injuries, the department said.

Edward F. Zastrow, 69, of 124 N. Bluebird Lane, Sheboygan Falls, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 25, 1996, following an automobile accident in Washington County. His wife, Shirley A. Zastrow, also died with him in the accident.

Edward was born August 13, 1926, in Sheboygan to Arthur and Elsie Neese Zastrow. He attended local schools. Ed served in the Army during W.W. II in Europe, as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborn Division.

On July 8, 1949, he married Esther I. Holldorf. She preceded him in death on April 10, 1985.

On August 13, 1987, he married Shirley Gall Ertel of Sheboygan.

Ed was a former Kohler Co. and Sheboygan Foundry employee and was currently working at Woodcraft Inc.

Mr. Zastrow was an active member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer.

Ed enjoyed gardening and the outdoors, especially deer hunting.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Bernice {Ellsworth} Wilharms, Elkhart Lake; Ruth {Gus} Knabe, Sheboygan and Yvonne {Roland} Launer, Sheboygan; a brother, Wayne {Betty} Zastrow, Tomahawk, Wis.; a sister-in-law, Zita Zastrow, Kohler; nieces and nephews and step-children. A brother, Ronald Zastrow, preceded him in death.

Funeral services for Edward and his wife, Shirley, will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. The Rev. Robert Maschke, interim pastor and Vicar David Cecil, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, on Thursday, from 4-9 p.m. and at the church, on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

Mrs. Shirley A. Zastrow, 62, of 124 N. Bluebird Lane, Sheboygan Falls, died Sunday afternoon, February 25, 1996, following an automobile accident in Washington County. Her husband, Edward F. Zastrow died with her in the accident.

Shirley was born Feb. 15, 1934 in Sheboygan, to Martin and Molly Gall. She graduated from Central High School, class of 1951.

She was married to Richard R. Ertel. Shirley was a receptionist for Dr. Dave K. Bolgert DDS.

On August 13, 1987, she married Edward F. Zastrow.

Mrs. Zastrow was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, where she served as Sunday School teacher for 49 years and was a former member of the church choir.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. Oppermann, Kewaskum; a son and daughter-in-law, Steven J. and Teresa Ertel, Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Nicole and fiance, Douglas Hiatt, Ruben Jr., Matthew and Andrew; three brothers, Martin {Pam} Gall, Tampa, Fla.; Robert {Nancy} Gall and Jerry {Shirley} Gall, all of Sheboygan; two sisters, Betty {Allan} Bowdoin, Fairhope, Ala. and Margie {Stanley} Gerwirtz, New York, N.Y. Her son-in-law, Ruben Oppermann, also died in the accident. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Shirley and her husband, Edward, will be held Friday, 10:30 a.m. at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer. The Rev. Robert Maschke, interim pastor and Vicar David Cecil, will officiate. Entombment will take place in Garden of Peace Mausoleum. A time of visitation and support will be held at Ballhorn Funeral Chapel, on Thursday, from 4-9 p.m. and at the church, on Friday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.

On Sunday, July 30, occurred the death of Mrs. Wilhelmina Zimmermann of the town of Wilson. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon with interment in Fladers Rest cemetery. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. Joseph Oesch.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Germany on March 71 {sic}, 1883 {sic} {1838?}. She is survived by several children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Friedericke Zimmermann, 84, of the Town of Wilson, widow of Henry W., died early today at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Mrs. Zimmermann, who had been residing on the homestead farm in Wilson, now operated by her son, Herbert, had been hospitalized one week.

The former Friedericke Schuldt, she was born in Wilson, Feb. 9, 1881, a daughter of the late Joachim and Maria Schuldt.

She attended St. Paul's Lutheran School in Sheboygan Falls and was married to Mr. Zimmermann, Dec. 26, 1903, following which the couple farmed in Wilson. Her husband died in January, 1957.

Surviving, in addition to the son, Herbert, are another son, Erwin, Sheboygan, and two grandchildren.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wilson, and its Golden Age Club.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Church, Highway 141 South, with the Rev. Hubert Rausch, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Flader's Rest Cemetery, Wilson.

Friends may call at the Ramm Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Tuesday until 11 a.m. Wednesday and after noon at the church.

Funeral services for Herbert O. Zimmermann, 67, of 6532 County Trunk OK, who died of an apparent heart attack, Saturday morning at Memorial Hospital, will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church, Town of Wilson.

The Rev. Arthur Anacker, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Zimmermann was born in the Town of Wilson, Feb. 22, 1915, son of the late Henry and Friedaricka Schuldt Zimmermann. He attended public schools in the Town of Wilson and Sheboygan Central High School.

On Nov. 11, 1939, he married Lucille Boeldt, in the Town of Wilson.

For most of his life, Mr. Zimmermann farmed in the Town of Wilson area. For 10 years, until his retirement in 1980, he was employed at Kohler Co.

Mr. Zimmermann was a life member of Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson, and was custodian there for many years.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Gerald of Sheboygan; one grandchild; and one brother, Ervin of Arizona.

Henry W. Zimmermann, 79, retired town of Wilson farmer, died early today at St. Nicholas Hospital. He had been ill two weeks.

A son of the late Ludwig and Wilhelmina Zimmermann, he was born in Wilson, July 15, 1877.

He attended district school and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Town Wilson.

On Dec. 26, 1903, he married the former Miss Friedericka Schludt {sic?, Schuldt}.

The couple continued to live in Town Wilson where Mr. Zimmermann operated a farm about seven miles south of Sheboygan.

He held numerous offices in Trinity Congregation.

Surviving are his wife; two sons, Herbert, on the home farm, and Erwin, S. 12th St.; and two grandsons.

Four brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Church, Town Wilson, with the Rev. Waldemar C. Stoehr, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fladers Rest Cemetery, Town Wilson.

Friends may call at the Ramm Funeral Home from 4 p.m. Friday and at the church after 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral services for Henry W. Zimmermann of the Town of Wilson who died Thursday morning at the St. Nicholas Hospital were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Town of Wilson. The Rev. W.C. Stoehr officiated and burial was in Flader's Rest Cemetery.

During the services the senior choir of the church sang "Asleep In Jesus" and "Abide With Me."

Pallbearers were Walter, Clarence and Arthur Zimmermann, Theodore Herbst, Frederick Schneider and Myron Bosman.

George Zuehl, 70, a native of Sheboygan and a resident of the King Wisconsin Veterans Home for several years, died there Friday.

He was born Sept. 9, 1907, in Sheboygan the son of Albert and Sarah Zuehl. He attended Immanuel Lutheran School.

He played baseball with the Sheboygan Chairmakers in the early 1930's.

Mr. Zuehl served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Schoepp of Milwaukee; Mrs. Ella Huibregtse and Mrs. Beatrice Stubbe, both of Sheboygan.

A brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel at Olson Hall at the Veterans Home. Burial will be at the Veterans Home.

Friends may call at the chapel after 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Traugott Zimmermann Dies Suddenly At His Home Here

Traugott Zimmermann, age 73, passed away suddenly this morning at 5:15 o'clock at his home at 1213 S. Thirteenth street. Mr. Zimmermann was employed as a teamster for some time, having worked in that capacity for the Konrad Schreier company, Sheboygan Coal company and the Grasse Brothers Oil company. He worked twenty years for the latter company, but retired eight years ago from active work because of ill health.

Deceased was born in the town of Wilson, June 6, 1859. At the age of seventeen years he came to Sheboygan, and on April 24, 1884, he was united in marriage with Wilhelmina Hoehnke of this city, and the couple have always made their home here.

Mr. Zimmermann was a member of the Bethlehem Sick society.

His survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Frank Johnson, and three sons, Arthur, Theodore and Martin, all of Sheboygan; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. William Witte of Milwaukee; Mrs. Harry Christiansen of Edgar, and Mrs. William Herbst of the town of Wilson, and three brothers, Louis of Sheboygan, Fred of Schoofield, and Henry of the town of Wilson.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of the deceased, at 1213 S. Thirteenth street and at 2 o'clock at the Bethlehem Lutheran church with the Rev. H. A. Wegner officiating. Burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery. The body can be viewed at the Ramm Funeral Home this evening and until Tuesday morning when it will be removed to the home.

The funeral of Traugott Zimmermann, aged 73 years, who died Monday, was held Wednesday afternoon at his home, 1213 S. Thirteenth street and at 2 o'clock at the Bethlehem Lutheran church, The Rev. H. H. Wegner officiated and burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery.

A group of school children sang "I Lay My Sins On Jesus."

The pallbearers were Hubert, Walter, Herbert and Irwin Zimmermann, Theodore Herbst and Raymond Johnson.

Out of town people who attended the services were William Zimmermann and family of Janesville, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zimmermann and family of Town Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. William Herbst and son of Town Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. William Witte and family of Milwaukee, Fred Zimmermann, and Mrs. John Zimmermann of Schofield, Wisconsin and Mrs. Ed. Holmes of Milwaukee.

August G. Zimmermann, 83, passed away Saturday evening at his home in Hika following a short illness.

He was born in Town Wilson on April 5, 1865, the son of Gottfried and Wilma Zimmermann. On Oct. 18, 1890, he was married to Miss Anna Gartman. The couple resided in Town Wilson until about 20 years ago when they moved to Centerville.

The survivors include: his widow; two daughters, Mrs. Walter {Lilly} Pagelow of Centerville and Mrs. Earl {Esther} Hausler of Sheboygan; two brothers, Frank and Leopold of Town Wilson; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Kuehn of Sheboygan; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Anna Zimmermann, 81, passed away Sunday evening at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Pagelow, route 1, Cleveland, following a short illness.

Mrs. Zimmermann, nee Anna Gartman, was born in the town of Wilson on September 4, 1868, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gartman. She was married to August Zimmermann by the Rev. W. Dorport on October 18, 1890. She was a member of the Ladies' Aid of the St. John and St. Peter Lutheran church of Cleveland.

The survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Walter {Lilly} Pagelow of Cleveland and Mrs. Earl {Esther} Hausler of Sheboygan; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and five sisters.

Martin L. Zimmermann, 56, of 1215 S. 13th St., died Saturday evening at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Born June 22, 1899, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Traugott and Wilhelmina Zimmermann, he attended Bethlehem Lutheran School and was confirmed at Bethlehem Church with the Class of 1913.

He entered the U.S. Navy on April 5, 1917, and served 22 months during World War I before being mustered out on Feb. 20, 1919.

On June 12, 1920, he was marriedd to Miss Elsie Beirsdorf of Sheboygan. The couple made their home in Sheboygan since their marriage.

Mr. Zimmermann was employed at the Armour Leather Co. for the past 23 years.

He was an active member of Jensen-Van Thruler Chapter No. 15, Disabled American Veterans, serving two terms as commander, and also was a member of the Badger Recreation Club and the Bethlehem Men's Club.

Survivors are his wife; a son, Jerome; one grandson, Dale; a sister, Mrs. Frank Johnson, and a brother, Arthur, all of Sheboygan. Five children and a brother preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carl W. Ladewig, pastor, officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in Lutheran Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Ramm Funeral Home from 7 o'clock this evening until 10 a.m. Wednesday, and at the church from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of services.

Members of the Jensen-Van Thruler Chapter of the DAV will hold memorial services at the funeral home at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Members of the auxiliary are invited to attend.

A memorial fund, to be known as "the Martin Zimmermann fund for the New Bethlehem Lutheran School," is being established in his memory.

Funeral services for Martin L. Zimmermann, 56, of 1215 South 13th St., who died Saturday, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Carl W. Ladewig, pastor, officiated. Members of Jensen-Van Thruler Chapter No. 15, Disabled American Veterans, conducted military rites at the grave in Lutheran Cemetery.

Soloist at the church service was Kenneth Lang who sang "What God Ordains" and "I Fall Asleep in Jesus." The organist was Wesley Broderius.

Pallbearers were Fred Farchmin, Thomas Kiernan, Fred Laschinger, John Wibbens, Harold Fritsch and Carl Schmidt.

The DAV conducted memorial services at the Ramm Funeral Home on Tuesday evening with Norman J. Leibham, commander, and A. Val Drews, chaplain, in charge.

Gerald Lilyquist was in charge of the graveside services.

Mrs. Hilda E. Zimmermann, 87, a resident of Sunny Ridge the past nine years, died Thursday morning at St. Nicholas Hospital following a brief illness.

The former Hilda Neese, she was born in Sheboygan on Sept. 15, 1897, a daughter of the late Gottfried and Wilhelmina Bliesner Neese.

She attended Immanuel Lutheran School.

On Dec. 6, 1919, she and Theodore Zimmermann of Sheboygan were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church. He died Dec. 30, 1946.

Mrs. Zimmermann resided at 1515 Illinois Ave. before moving to Sunny Ridge in 1975.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, its Senior Citizens group, and was a former 25-year member of Wolf-Olsen VFW Post 1230 Auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons, LeRoy of Milwaukee and Theodore, Sheboygan; a daughter, Mrs. Helmuth {Mildred} Eberhardt of Sheboygan; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Steven E. Thomas, associate pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Sunday and on Monday until the time of service.

Raymond F. Zutz, 65, of 1618 Kentucky Ave., died Saturday at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital. He had been in failing health for several months.

Born Oct. 4, 1909, in Sheboygan, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zutz, he attended Immanuel Lutheran School and was graduated from Sheboygan Vocational School in 1923.

An outstanding bowler and a baseball player in his younger day, Mr. Zutz was a member of the Classic Leage {sic} and participated in the Department of Public Recreation's softball and hardball major leagues. He was an honorary member of the Sheboygan Oldtimers Club.

An employee of the Armira Corp. until his retirement, he was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors are a brother, Edwin, three nephews and a niece. One brother and a sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Herbert Stelter, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

William F. Zastoupil, Jr., 82, of 1721 N. 25th St., died Monday evening, Dec. 6, 2004 at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.

Born Sept. 16, 1922 in Sheboygan to William and Eleanore {Kubel} Zastoupil, Sr., he was a graduate of Sheboygan High School, Class of 1930 and also attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

William served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945, stationed for a tour of duty in Italy.

In August of 1947 William and Audrey Paasch were united in marriage.

Bill was the president of Leather Products, Inc., on S. Eighth Street in Sheboygan, a nationally known company that made harness horse racing equipment until his retirement. The company was started in 1928 by his father, William Zastoupil Sr. The business is still operating as Feather-Weight Turf, Inc. in Sheboygan, and is well-known for the wooden horse in the shop window.

Bill was a faithful member of St. John’s UCC Church. For 13 years he also was a member of the American Legion Post 83. He enjoyed tinkering in his basement, and building and fixing things as a hobby. He and Audrey spent many happy times taking long drives along the countryside.

In addition to his wife, a resident at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, Bill is survived by his son {And Daughter-in-Law} of Austin, Minn.; four grandchildren, {One grand-daughter being} a student at UW-LaCrosse, {2 grand-daughters and a grandson} all of Austin, Minn.; one sister {And Brother-in-Law}, of Plymouth; and other relatives and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by an infant son, James; and a sister, Marion Seipel.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004 at Ballhorn Chapels. The Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, pastor of St. John’s UCC, will officiate.

A time of visitation and support will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery where military rites will be conducted.

Mrs. Paula Zehm, resident of Worley for the last 30 years, died Sunday.

Survivors are three sons, Edgar and Raymond Zehm, Worley, and Harley Zehm, Coeur d'Alene; two daughters, Mrs. Hortense Ditmore and Betty Schultz, Worley; a sister, Mrs. Etta Duchow, Riverside, Calif.; 18 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Frederick R. Zierath, age 88, died on March 18, 1999. He was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin July 10, 1910. Fred graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1933 and went on to a distinguished military career. He saw action in the Pacific in WWII and Korea. His decorations include the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters and the Combat Infantryman's Badge, 2 Awards. He was Commanding General of Fort Lawton 1961-1962 and Fort Lewis {Washington state} 1962-1963. Fred was a 30-year resident of Pierce County {Washington} and was a member of Lake City Community Church, Oakbrook Golf and Country Club and various military organizations and foundations. For his military career, he was selected for listing in the 1968-1969 edition of "Who's Who in America."

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanore. He is survived by his son, David Zierath, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Zierath; sisters, Gretchen Osterhoudt, Marian Zierath and Charlotte Sirks; as well as 3 grandchildren, Carolyn, Robert and Michael; 3 great-grandchildren, Ethan, Evan and Sydney; and his devoted friends, Ed and Carmen Merritt.

Anne Zore, 88, a resident of the Sheboygan County Comprehensive Health Center, died there Wednesday, June 2, 1999. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Habermann-Zimmer Funeral Home of Sheboygan.

Anne Zore, 88, a resident of the Sheboygan County Comprehensive Center, passed away there on Tuesday, June 2, 1999.

She was born in Milwaukee on Feb. 22, 1911, a daughter of the late Martin and Mary Ribich Zore. She was a life-long member of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, the Christian Women's Society, American Slovenian Organization, The American Women's Union and K.S.K.J.

Surviving Anne is her sister, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and a brother-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Anne on Saturday, June 5, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Fleischmann officiating.

Irma Zenk, age 90, formerly of Sheboygan, died at Rocky Knoll Health Center on Friday evening, June 4, 1999.

Irma was born in Fond du Lac on Nov. 1, 1908, a daughter of the late Richard and Minnie {Guenther} Steinhaus. She attended local schools and on April 8, 1928 was married to Ernst Zenk. Ernst preceded her in death on August 1, 1977.

Mrs. Zenk had been employed at the Ross Glove Company and had also worked at the H.C. Prange Co. for 23 years. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Survivors include her son, a grandson, and a sister.

A graveside service will be held for Irma on Tuesday, June 8, 1999 at 11 a.m. at Wildwood Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Steel, pastor at Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Relatives and friends who plan on attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the Ramm-Ziegler-Novak-Rettke Funeral Home, 1535 South 12th St., on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Everyone who has gathered will then proceed to Wildwood Cemetery for the 11 a.m. graveside service.

Merle C. Zuehlke, 88, of Oostburg, died Saturday night, January 9, 1999 at St. Nicholas Hospital where he had been a patient.

He was born on November 27, 1910 in Appleton, the son of the late Roy A. and Martha Zuehlke. Merle graduated from high school in Appleton. On June 10, 1934 he married the late Cecelia Terrien in Neenah. She preceded him in death on December 21, 1998.

Merle was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan and numerous other organizations.

He is survived by a daughter, Sandra {Hal Silvers} Goetz of Thiensville; one son, Roy; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, January 11, 1999, at noon, at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan with the Rev. Daniel Sanders officiating. Entombment took place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.

Died: On October 23 Mrs. Caroline Zimmermann died, born Thieme. She was born March 11, 1806 in Grunrade in Neumark. She married Gottfried Zimmermann on 16 March 1825. They had nine children, 7 sons and 2 daughters. Six sons and 1 daughter are still living. In the year 1848 they moved to America and lived {near?} the Town of Wilson. Her husband died 16 March 1873. In 1880 she moved to Sheyboygan to live with her son-in-law Mr. Ferdinand Georges.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon. Her life was outlined by Pastor Wolbrecht in the Lutheran Trinity church. She lived 79 years, 7 months, and 12 days.

The deceased was mother of Friedrich & Gottfried Zimmermann.

The Rev. William C. Zenk, pastor of the Reformed church at Campbellsport, who during the week was engaged as professor of music at the Mission House at Franklin, theological institution, died suddenly at 5:30 a.m. Thursday at the Mission House. The Rev. Mr. Zenk complained of not feeling well Wednesday evening, and during the night was stricken with severe illness. A blood clot cause his death.

Rev. Zenk was born in the town of Rhine on September 22, 1874. His parents moved to Kiel later, where he attended Kiel high school, and graduated at the age of 16 years. He then went to the Mission House and graduated from the Seminary in 1898; and was married in October of the same year. He became pastor of the Reformed church at Campbelsport in 1913, succeeding the Rev. Wm. Landsiedel. For many years the Rev. Mr. Zenk taught German in the Campbellsport high school. Surviving the deceased are his widow and nine children, Mrs. Edward DeBuhr of Reedsville; Olga, Clemens, {a former Mission House student} Thekla, at Milwaukee Normal; Adolph of the Mission House Academy; Esther, Gertrude, Guido and Jerome at home. Four children preceded their father in death.

He also leaves two grandchildren, Ethel and Calvin DeBuhr; and five brothers and two sisters: Ludwig at the Mission House, Gustave of Scotland, S. Dak., Albert at Manitowoc, Henry at South Dakota, Calvin in Cincinnati, and Louise and Martha of Milwaukee. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Immanuel's church. The Mission House choir sang "Ueber den Sternen" and "Asleep in Jesus." Many pastors from out of town attended. Interment was made in the church cemetery.

Joseph E. Zimmermann, 69, of 3332{?} Main Ave., formerly of Plymouth, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital.

Born Dec. 8, 1897, in the Town of Schleswig {Manitowoc County}, he was the son of the late Philip and Rose Schmidt Zimmermann. He attended Woodland Park District Schools at Kiel.

On Oct. 24, 1922, he married Ester Born of the Town of Schleswig.

The couple made their home in New Holstein until 1946 when they moved to R. 1, Plymouth.

Mr. Zimmermann was employed at the Potts Foundry for 17 years, then worked at the Special Products Co. at Waldo until his retirement in 1964.

He was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in the Town of Lima.

Survivors are one son, Norman of Sheboygan; five daughters, Mrs. Milton {LaVerne} Meyer, Mrs. Eugene {Elda} Reglin, both of Sheboygan, Mrs. Westley {Mary Ann} Vruwink of Appleton, Mrs. Victor {Arlene} Williams of Sheboygan and Mrs. Raymond {Josephine} Gainey of Thornton, Colo.; two brothers, Christ of Sheboygan and Philip of New Holstein; one sister, Mrs. Louis Niemuth of Sheboygan; and 18 grandchildren.

His wife died in 1963. He was also preceded in death by an infant son and daughter, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, with the Rev. Richard L. Buege, pastor of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Rosalie Ziglinski, an old pioneer of our county, died Saturday afternoon in her Washington Street residence here. The deceased, who was 59, came to Manitowoc County as an 18-year old girl from her West Prussian home and lived several years in Nordheim, Town Newton, before moving to Manitowoc. Her husband preceded her in death 12 years ago. 4 children mourn her passing. Her body was taken to Sheboygan and laid to rest there Tuesday morning.

Zurheide - Leroy, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Zurheide, off 420 N. Water street, died Thursday, Feb. 8, aged 26 days.

After weary months of suffering from a complication of diseases, of which the fatal troubles seemed to be cancer of the liver and Bright's disease, Ludwig Zimmermann, a county pioneer, passed away at his home on the Sauk trail six miles south of Sheboygan, on October 10, 1909. The funeral was held on October 14 from the Lutheran church near his home, and the Rev. Mr. Esch officiated. The remains rest in Flader's Rest cemetery.

Mr. Zimmermann was born in Germany and in 1847 came to America with his parents who settled on a farm on Sauk trail, opposite the one now in possession of his family. For a time he resided in Sheboygan but he was attracted to the farm where he spent the greater part of sixty-three years.

Mrs. Anna Zimmerman, 80, wife of Frank Zimmerman, passed away Thursday at 5:15 p.m. at her home, 927 New York avenue, following a lingering illness.

She was born in Kewaunee, Wis., February 26, 1862, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Arnold, and attended the public schools there. On February 9, 1886, she was married to Frank Zimmerman and they came to Sheboygan in 1890 and have resided here since.

Mrs. Zimmerman was a home loving wife and mother, deeply devoted to her husband and family. She was a lover of flowers and spent many hours in her garden. She was always ready to do something for others.

The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on February 9, 1936.

Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Sybilia) Treick of Kohler, and a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Hessel of Kewaunee, Wis.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Robert H. Kroos funeral home, the Rev. C. P. Schulz officiating, and intemrent will be made in the Kohler cemetery. Friends may view the body at the funeral home beginning Saturday evening.

Plymouth – Funeral services for Arthur F. Zelm, who passed away at Plymouth hospital, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Wittkopp Funeral home. The Rev. Samuel Bullough of the First Congregational church officiated.

During the services Miss Doris Dietsch sang “In the Garden” and “Sunset and Evening Star,” accompanied by Miss Hildegard Wilson.

Pallbearers were Mayor W. H. Eldridge, Charles Steinert, A. E. Broker, Alfred Gehlhoff, Dr. C. G. Goelzer and Assemblyman E. J. Larson.

Masonic rites were conducted at the grave in Woodlawn cemetery, where burial was made.

George C. Zimmermann, a retired Sheboygan restaurateur, died suddenly shortly after noon Sunday at his home, 1518 N. 10th St. He was 74 years old.

Son of the late Conrad and Anna Zimmermann, he was born May 17, 1877, in the town of Rhine, and on May 17, 1900, was married to Emma Grunwald at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.

Mr. Zimmermann was engaged in farming in the town of Rhine for five years and later operated a dry goods and grocery business at Howards Grove.

A resident of Sheboygan since 1919, he was employed at the Sheboygan Dairy Products Co. for four years before purchasing the Barbecue restaurant at 823 Michigan Ave.

Since selling his interests in the business to his daughter, Mrs. Hildegarde Lattein, in 1937, he lived in retirement at her home on N. 10th St.

He was a member of Zion Reformed Church.

Survivors, in addition to Mrs. Lattein, are another daughter, Mrs. G. R. (Viola) Burch of Jefferson City, Mo.; two grand-daughters and two great-grandsons; a brother, Louis; and a sister, Mrs. Anna Sinner of Howards Grove. His wife preceded him in death in 1918.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at the Robert H. Kroos Funeral home with the Rev. Clarence H. Koehler, pastor of Zion Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in Wildwood.

Funeral services for William Zovne, Jr., who passed away at St. Nicholas hospital on Tuesday, were held at the Ramm Funeral home on Saturday morning at 9:30 and at St. Peter Claver church at 10 o’clock. The Rev. C. J. Hausner officiated at the services and burial was made in Wildwood cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Robert Fenske, Harvey Paulson, Rodney Van Eugen, Clarence Korb, Donald Staeber and Lloyd Blankemeier. All six were schoolmates of the deceased.

Among the out-of-town people who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hess and family of Kohler.

Miss Marie Zimmermann, 79, of route 3, Town Wilson, life-long resident of Sheboygan county, passed away suddenly Saturday night.

Born March 9, 1867, in Wilson township, the deceased attended district schools and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran church in the town of Wilson in 1881. She was employed in Sheboygan Falls for several years, later returning to the farm to reside with her parents. Formerly a resident of Sheboygan, Mr. (sic, Miss) Zimmermann has made her home with a brother, Leopold, in recent years.

Survivors include three brothers, August of Centerville, and Frank and Leopold of Town Wilson, and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Bogen and Mrs. Oscar Kuehn, Sr., both of Sheboygan. Her parents, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ramm Funeral home. The Rev. Julius Wagner will officiate and burial will be made in the family lot in Frader's (sic, Flader's) Rest cemetery, Town Wilson. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from this evening until the time of services.

Funeral services for Miss Marie Zimmermann, route 3, Town Wilson, who passed away Saturday at the home of her brother, Leopold, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Ramm Funeral home.

The Rev. Julius Wagner of Trinity Lutheran church in Wilson township officiated. Burial was made in Flader's Rest cemetery in the township.

Pallbearers were Herman Gartman, Albert and Alfred Fritsch, John Jens, Jr., and Emil and Louis Albrecht. During the services Mrs. A. S. Beiersdorf sang two selections, `Nearer My God to Thee' and `Abide With Me.' Mrs. Herbert Graumann played the accompaniment.

Out of town persons in attendance at the rites were Mr. and Mrs. August Bogen, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Lange and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Drumm, Wausau.

Mrs. Leopold Zimmermann, aged 51, life-long resident of the town of Wilson, died Friday at 3:30 p.m. at her home in the town of Wilson.

Mrs. Zimmermann, nee Helen Roehrborn, was born in the town of Wilson, July 28, 1883, and was married there to Leopold Zimmermann on March 17, 1919. The couple made their home on a farm in the town of Wilson. Mrs. Zimmermann's first husband, Ferdinand Reyer, died Dec. 31, 1916.

Mrs. Zimmermann was a home-loving wife and mother, deeply devoted to her home and family. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran church in the town of Wilson.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Zimmermann is survived by three daughters and three sons, Olivia Reyer, at home; Alvin Reyer of Haven, Edmund Reyer of Howards Grove, Hugo Reyer, at home and Lavina and Luella Zimmermann, at home; three sisters and three brothers, Mrs. F. Bock, Mrs. H. Rammer and Mrs. Albert Mueller, William, Christof and Henry Roehrborn, all of the town of Wilson. One sister, Mrs. William Janko, died several years ago.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:15 p.m. at the Ramm Funeral Home and at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran church in the town of Wilson. The Rev. Julius Wagner will officiate and burial will be made in Fladder's cemetery in the town of Wilson. The body can be viewed at the Funeral Home from Sunday afternoon until the time of services.

Gottlieb Zimmermann a native of Germany who came to America with his parents in 1847 and settled in the town of Wilson, this county, died at his home there on the Sauk Trail road on Monday morning, Oct. 11, at 10:00 o'clock aged 76 years. A widow and several children survive. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon.

Zimmermann: - Mrs. Wilhelmine Zimmermann, widow of the late Gottfried Zimmermann, one of the pioneer residents of Town Wilson died at her home Friday morning, Sept. 9, aged about 70 years. She is survived by the following children: Richard, Theodore, Mrs. Emma Bogen, Marie, Mrs. Wilhelmine Krause, Leopold, and Frank. The funeral took place Monday afternoon, the Rev. Oesch officiating. Interment in the town of Wilson cemetery.

Leopold Zimmermann, 88, a retired Town of Wilson farmer, died Friday afternoon at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, ... 9th St.

He was born in Town Wilson on April 29, 1876, a son of Gottfried and Wilhelmine Zimmermann. He attended rural school and farmed in Town Wilson until 1934, when he retired.

He was married on March 17, 1918, to Mrs. Helene Reyer, who preceded him in death in 1935.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. ... of Sheboygan, and Mrs. ... of Downey, Calif.; three step-sons, ..., of Cleveland, ..., of Town Wilson, and Hugo Reyer, of Ashland; one step-daughter, Mrs. ..., of Sheboygan Falls; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Town Wilson. The Rev. Hubert Rausch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Flader's Rest Cemetery, Town Wilson.

Friends may call at Ramm funeral home from 4 p.m. Sunday until 11 a.m. Monday, and from noon until time of services at church.

Jacob Zitzer, 87, of 611 Roosevelt Rd., Kohler, died Monday afternoon in Sheboygan Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 23, 1886, at Schulz, Russia, a son of the late Gottleib and Sophie Zitzer, and came to Sheboygan in 1913.

On April 25, 1914, he married Miss Anna E. Masrkus in Trinity Lutheran Church parsonage. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last month.

Mr. Zitzer worked for 26 years at Kohler Co. and retired in 1956.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his widow; two sons, Otto of Kohler and Jack of Augsburg, Germany; three daughters, Miss Irma and Miss Marie, both of Kohler, and Mrs. Jerome (Gertrude) Siever, Kohler and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Leo Deitemeyer, assistant pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Kohler Cemetery.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Wednesday.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Zitzer's name for the Trinity Church German radio broadcast or the Trinity Together building fund.

Mrs. Lulu Zimmerman, 78, widow of Walter, of 134 School St., Kohler, died early Saturday afternoon at St. Nicholas Hospital where she had been a patient for two and a half weeks.

A native of Sheboygan, she was born June 22, 1888, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sommers. On June 15, 1912, she married Walter W. Zimmerman at the parsonage of St. Mark Lutheran Church.

The couple resided in Sheboygan until 1917 when they moved to Kohler. Mr. Zimmerman, a retired Kohler Co. employee, died July 27, 1963.

Mrs. Zimmerman was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Kohler, and a member of the church's ladies auxiliary.

Survivors include a brother, E. R. Sommers, and a sister, Mrs. William (Isabelle) Lascelles, of Douglas, Ariz.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Herbert A. Baker, pastor of Bethany Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Kohler Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. William J. Zimmerman, 74, of Kohler, died Thursday evening at St. Nicholas hospital after a lingering illness.

The former Minnie Steffen, she was born Jan. 26, 1868, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Henry and Doris Steffen. She attended public school here and lived in this vicinity her entire life. On June 25, 1887, she was married to William Zimmerman by the Rev. Hoffman in Sheboygan, and for many years they lived at 1508 Erie avenue, here. For the past nine years she had been living in Kohler with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Strenger. On June 25 of this year she and Mr. Zimmerman celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. She was an honorary member of the ladies' aid of Bethany Lutheran church of Kohler and past president of the ladies' auxiliary of the National Association of Stationary Engineers.

Surviving are her husband and six children, Walter, Arthur and Mrs. Herman Strenger, all of Kohler, Mrs. Henry Mertz, Clarence and Peter, all of Sheboygan; one brother, Frank Steffen, and a sister, Mrs. Dora Hoffman, both of Sheboygan, and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:30 in the Ballhorn Funeral chapels, the Rev. Albert Hubert to officiate. Burial will be in Wildwood. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Saturday evening.

Oostburg - Mrs. Aplonia Zuurmond, 84, died at her home here at 3:45 a.m. Saturday after a lingering illness.

She was born Jan. 8, 1862, on a farm at east Oostburg, then known as the Neerhof farm, town of Holland, a daughter of Peter and Susan Eernisse Daane. She was married to John A. Zuurmond by her father, Justice Peter Daane, on June 10, 1884.

The couple lived on a farm in town of Wilson for 31 years and then moved to Oostburg, living at a N. Main street home for 31 years. Her husband died Jan. 4, 1926.

Survivors are four children, Ed P. Zuurmond, town of Wilson, Mrs. Herman (Susie J.) Rauwerdink, Oostburg, Mrs. James (Anna) Back, Sheboygan, and Peter Zuurmond, of Cedar Grove. Also surviving are four grandchildren, one great grandson, and a brother, Matthew Daane, of Oostburg.

Four sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the home, and at 2 o'clock at the Christian Reformed church, Oostburg. Interment will be in the Hartman cemetery. Friends may call at the Simmerlink funeral home this evening, and at the Zuurmond home Tuesday morning until time of services.

Mrs. Albert F. (Elsie) Zelle, 72, of 2617 N. 20th St., died at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital Wednesday evening after a long illness.

She was born June 19, 1887, in Sheboygan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Beineman. On April 10, 1910, she married Mr. Zelle in the Zion Reformed Church.

She was a member of the Senior Mission Society of the church, the Royal Neighbors, Chapter 1054, the Women of the Moose and a charter member of the Friendship Circle of the College of Regents.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Ottomar, of Sheboygan; one grandchild, and one sister, Mrs. Helmer Peterson.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kroos-Horn Funeral Home with the Rev. George Mohr, pastor of the Zion Reformed Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday.

Members of the Senior Mission Society of Zion Reformed Church, the Royal Neighbors and Women of the Moose are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:15 p.m. Saturday to attend the services in groups.

The Woman's Relief Corps No. 11 will hold memorial services for Mrs. Zelle at 7:30 o'clock Friday evening at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be held here Saturday for Otto E. Zwerg, 87, a native of Sheboygan, who died Wednesday in Milwaukee.

The burial rites will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. in Lutheran Cemetery following funeral services at 10 a.m. at the Ritter Funeral Home, 5310 W. North Ave., Milwaukee.

Mr. Zwerg made his home in Milwaukee for the past 25 years.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Kluge of Newbury Park, Calif.; a son, Henry O. Zwerg of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; one sister, Dr. Olga M. Zwerg, Milwaukee, and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Mollie A. Zaegle, 94, formerly of 631 St. Clair Ave., died Saturday night at Heritage Nursing Center, where she had been a resident the past six months.

Mrs. Zaegel resided at the Anna M. Reiss Home prior to going to Heritage.

The former Mollie Ganter, she was born Nov. 19, 1875. She received training to become a registered nurse at the Wesleyan Hospital, Chicago.

She married Max R. Zaegel in 1910. Mr. Zaegel, a manufacturing chemist and proprietor of Zaegel's Drug Store at N. 8th Street and New York Avenue, preceded her in death in 1934.

Mrs. Zaegel was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist.

Only survivor is a nephew, Atty. Clinton O. Thompson on Antioch, Ill.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Tuesday at the Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Christian Science services will be read by G. Theodore Bach. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 5 p.m. today.

Luther H. Zumbrun, 74, of 120 Oak St., Sheboygan Falls, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon at his home after being stricken with an apparent heart attack.

Born July 8, 1896 in Glenn Eldon, Kan., a son of the late Westley and Mary Jane Currentt Zumbrun, he moved to Sheboygan Falls in 1934 to become manager of the Pure Oil Bulk Plant.

He served in that position until 1956. Then he worked as a star route mail carrier until he retired in 1967.

Mr. Zumbrun's first wife, Lucille Hughes, died many years ago.

On Feb. 4, 1933, he married Mrs. Nora Skinner Warfield in Macon, Mo.

Mr. Zumbrun was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Sheboygan Falls.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Diles, Joplin, Mo.; one son, Westley, Tulsa, Okla.; a step daughter, Mrs. Harry (Alta) Putz, Sheboygan Falls; one stepson, Bud, Sheboygan Falls; 13 grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Anva Dillingham, Warrensburg, Mo.

One son, one sister and one brother also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Huehn's Funeral Home, Sheboygan Falls, with the Rev. D.L. Wandschneider, pastor of Faith Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sheboygan Falls cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. Tuesday until time of services.

A memorial fund has been established in Mr. Zumbrun's name for Faith United Methodist Church.

Manitowoc - Myer Zimmerman, 67, who for 54 years had been engaged in apparel merchandising and founded Zimmerman's Ready to Wear Store, died Saturday morning. He resided at 1012 N. 15th St.

Mr. Zimmerman began his career in business at the age of 13 when he left Sheboygan for Annetta, N.D., where he worked with a brother, Charles, and established a men's clothing store. When he was 20 he came to Manitowoc and set up a store featuring men's apparel on South Eight Street where the present Muir's Drug Store is located. He also operated for a time a similar store at Oshkosh.

Organized Store

In 1923, Myer, Charles and another brother, David, with the help of their father organized Zimmerman Brothers Dept. Store at Fond du Lac and subsequently founded Fond du Lac Dry Goods Co. which is now operated by Inter-State Dept. Stores. Forty years ago Myer Zimmerman established his Manitowoc store which featured women's apparel. He was owner and manager of Hotel Howard Inc.

At Manitowoc Mr. Zimmerman was affiliated with Elks Lodge No. 687, Chamber of Commerce, Masonic Lodge No. 65, Free and Accepted Masons, B'nai B'rith and Two Rivers and Manitowoc Shrine Club. He was a member of Anshe Poale Zedek Synogogue of the city and was also a member of Tripoli Shrine of Milwaukee.

He was born March 12, 1896, in Russia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zimmerman, and came to the United States with his parents when he was eight. The family settled at Sheboygan.

Surviving him are his wife, Nellie, and a son, (private), of the city; a brother, Haskell, of Jacksonville, Fla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Roseff, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Roy Emanuel, of Stevens Point and Mrs. Sam Feldman, of Montgomery, Ala.

Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Ballhorn Funeral Home, Sheboygan. Rabbi Louls Kaufman of Anshe Poale Zedek Synagogue and the Rev. Bernard Horovitz officiated and burial was at Sheboygan.

Pallbearers were Gary Zimmerman, Irvin Ruderman, Dr. Harold Blum, Ralph Shapiro, Leon Balaban and Herman Krause. Haonorary pallbearers were Henry Spiegel and Sam Hyman.

Funeral services for Albert G. Zibell, 68, vice president and sales manager of the Kohler Co., Kohler, who died Sunday, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kohler, with burial in that city.

A native of Waterloo, Jefferson County, Zibell attended Northwestern College at Watertown before joining Kohler Co. in 1915. He was credit and collection manager before becoming manager of sales in 1928. In 1952, he was elected to the board of directors and in 1958 he was voted a vice president.

A nationally known pigeon fancier, he organized the Wisconsin State Pigeon Club and was its first president. Zibell was a director of Friendship House Inc., of Sheboygan, a temporary home for unfortunate children, and held memberships in Wisconsin Historical Society, Farmers and Sportsmens Club of Sheboygan, Lakeshore Club of Chicago and Pine Hills Country Club of Sheboygan.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Robert G. of Milwaukee, a sister, two brothers and a grandchild.
