Miss Rose Gartmann Weds Patrick F. Sheehy Today
A pretty but simple wedding was solemnized at Holy Name church at 9 o'clock
this morning when Miss Rose Gartmann, 1936 N. Tenth street, daughter of the
late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gartmann, exchanged marriage vows with Patrick F.
Sheehy, son of Patrick Sheehy Sr. of Reedsville, Wis., before the Rt. Rev.
Msgr. Phillipp Dreis.
The couple was attended by Miss Elyner Gartmann, sister of the bride, and Leo
Sheehy, brother of the bridegroom. The bride was attired in a white suit of
Shalimar crepe with white accessories and she wore a shoulder bouquet of
gardenias and lilies-of-the-valley. Her attendant chose a light blue suit of
Congo cloth with flesh-colored accessories and a shoulder corsage of
sweetheart roses and lilies-of-the-valley.
After the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served at the Guest House for
immediate relatives. The bride and bridegroom left early in the day on their
honeymoon, keeping their destination a secret.
Out-of-town guests included Patrick Sheehy Sr., Leo, Elmer and Gordon Sheehy,
all of Reddsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gartmann of Waukesha.
The young couple will make their home at Manitowoc where the bridegroom holds
a position with the Singer Sewing Machine company. They will be at home to
their many friends after June 15.
