Miss Veona Paasch Wedded To Harold Gartman Saturday

Garden flowers were used to decorate Trinity Lutheran church Saturday evening at 6 o'clock for the wedding of Miss Veona Paasch and Harold A. Gartman. The Rev. Julius Wagner read the nuptial ceremony which united in marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Paasch, Route 1, Oostburg, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gartman, Route 3, Sheboygan.

White bengaline fashioned the bridal dress made with a fitted bodice fashioned with a lace vest and a high neck. There was also a lace panel down the front of the full skirt which had a long, flowing train. A seed pearl crown held her lace-edged veil and in her arms she held an all-white bouquet of chrysanthemums and pompons.

The bride chose as her attendants, her sister, Miss Lorraine Paasch, as maid of honor, and the Misses Virginia Heimer and Ruth Meggers, as bridesmaids. Their dresses were made of taffeta bengaline styled with square necklines edged with a ruffle and full skirts with appliques of velvet. Peacock blue was the color of the maid of honor's dress and the two bridesmaids were attired in a very pale shade of old rose and a darker shade, of the same color, respectively.

The maid of honor carried a crescent style bouquet of briarcliff roses and better times pompons were held by the bridesmaids.

Attending as flower girl in a peacock blue dress was Rox Ann Schaefer, niece of the bridegroom. She held a bouquet like the bridesmaids. The ring bearer was David Paasch, cousin of the bride, and he was clad in black velvet trousers and a white satin blouse.

Norman Gartman was his cousin's best man and groomsmen were Marvin Fritsch, another cousin of the bridegroom, and Frederick Woepse, cousin of the bride. There were 75 supper guests at the church basement after the ceremony. Garden flowers were used to beautify the tables.

After a short wedding trip the couple will make its home with the bridegroom's parents.
