Miss Hazel Veldboom Is Bride Wednesday
Miss Hazel Veldboom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Veldboom of Cedar Grove,
was united in marriage to Wilbert Gartman, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Gartman,
of this city, at a ceremony performed at the home of the bride, Wednesday, by
the Rev. John J. De Waard, pastor of the First Presbyterian church at Cedar
Grove.
Blue chiffon velvet fashioned the bride's gown and she carried a bouquet of
roses, pompons, and chrysanthemums. Miss Bernice Veldboom, sister of the
bride, who attended as bridesmaid, wore a light blue crepe gown and her
flowers were yellow chrysanthemums. Harold Gartman was his brother's best
man.
After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents
where decorations were attractively carried out in blue and white.
Out-of-town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ter Maat and daughter, Florence,
and Mr. and Mrs. B. Tempas, all of Vesper, Wood county.
Mr. and Mrs. Gartman will spend their honeymoon at Vesper, Wis., and after
December 15 they will reside at the John Gartman home, this city.
