A pretty wedding took place at St. Michael's Catholic church, Mitchell, last
Tuesday, when Miss Agnes McMullen and Leo B. Gill were united in the holy
bonds of matrimony, Rev. David Regan of Cascade performing the ceremony.
The bride was attired in white beaded georgette crepe. She wore a tull veil
and carried a shower bouquet of Euphelia roses and swansonia.
She was attended by Miss Mae Douglas, cousin of the groom, who wore blue
crepe de chine and a white picture hat, carrying a bouquet of Ward roses and
snap dragon. The groom was attended by Chester McMullen, brother of the
bride, both wearing dark blue suits.
After the ceremony about 50 guests repaired to the bride's home where a four
course dinner was most artistically served by the Misses Francis (sic)
Douglas, Lenore Gilboy, Rose, Myrtle and Marie Mulvey, the color scheme of
pink and white being used for decorations which consisted of pink and white
crepe paper, white cupids, snow balls and pink roses. Midst showers of rice
and old shoes and a "mock charivari" the happy couple left for Campbellsport
in the afternoon where they boarded a north bound train on a short honeymoon
and on their return took up (Article cut off)
