Miss Janet Adela Hillemann and Clemens Anthony Sonntag were the bridal pair in a 2:30 o'clock ceremony that was held on Saturday afternoon in the rectory of Holy Name Church. The bridegroom's brother, the Rev. Nathaniel Sonntag, O. F. M. Cap., came from St. Felix Friary at Huntington, Ind. to be the officiating clergyman.

A street-length dress of ivory lace was donned by the bride. It was designed with a scoop neckline and short sleeves. She provided contrast by choosing a cornflower blue hat, belt and shoes to wear with it. The lace colonial bouquet had phalaenopsis orchids, stephanotis and tuberoses intermingled in it. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Adela Hillemann, 731 Highland Tr.

The bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Raymond Van Handel Jr., in the matron of honor role, was attired in a shell pink faille dress of street length and her hat matched the color of her dress. Blue wedgewood salvias were the flowers in her colonial bouquet. The other attendant was Raymond Van Handel Jr., the bridegroom's brother-in-law, and he was in the capacity of best man.

Between 3 and 5 o'clock, an afternoon reception was held in the Parkside Room of the Hotel Foeste, where approximately 85 guests were entertained. They came from Washington, D.C., cities in Indiana and Iowa, Appleton, Green Bay, Madison and Milwaukee.

Northern Wisconsin is being visited by the couple, who after Sept. 15, will be at home in Milwaukee, where their address will be 7612 W. Locust St. The former Miss Hillemann was graduated from Central High School and previous to her marriage, was employed as a secretary at The Sheboygan Press. In 1949, Mr. Sonntag received his degree from the University of Wisconsin. North High School is his alma mater. He is service manager of Wagner Iron Works in Milwaukee. His father is Joseph S. Sonntag, 826 Z Ct.
