Miss Beverly Ann Lieding and Lt. George G. Fetterer were united in marriage in a military wedding Friday, June 3, at
St. Mary's Church, Annapolis, Md. The Rev. Vincent Lonergan, Catholic chaplain at the U.S. Naval Academy,
performed the ceremony.
Mothers of the principals, Mrs. August B. Lieding, 2139 N. 20th St., and Mrs. Benedict Fetterer, 722 Superior Ave.,
were present for the nuptials, and attended the wedding dinner for 20 guests at Raleigh Hotel, English Room,
Washington, D.C. Another guest was Malfada Dire, Everett, Wash.
A brother of the bridegroom, Jerome Fetterer, presented the bride in marriage. She was attired in a gown of white
silk shantung with lace bordering the neck and sleeve lines. The waltz-length frock was styled with princess lines,
a round neckline and fingertip sleeves. The bride had a fingertip veil of Venetian lace and carried a white prayer
book, lace covered, with a white orchid and stephanotis on white streamers.
Ice pink was the color of the crystalette gown donned by the bridesmaid, Miss JoAnn Lieding, sister of the bride.
The waltz-length frock had princess lines, a lace-covered bodice and neckline which sloped to the middle of the back
with a small bow. Her colonial bouquet was comprised of white carnations, baby breath and delphinias.
Lt. Gerald Gordon, Everett, Wash, was in the role of best man and the ushers were Midn. James Ryan 3/c, Plattsburg,
N.Y., and Ensign George Martin, Everett, Wash.
Two hymns, 'At Cana's Wedding Feast' and 'Happy, We Are Thus United,' were sung by Misses Kathleen Haskins
and Judith Hardesty, Annapolis, Md.
After spending a week at Lake Cateaugay, N.Y., the newlyweds will travel to Sheboygan via Niagara Falls, Canada and
Michigan. Between June 25 and Aug.1, they will be at home at 2139 N. 20th St.
The former Miss Lieding has a Bachelor of Science Degree in education and psychology from Wisconsin State College in
Milwaukee and this past year has been a teacher of corrective reading in Annapolis, Md. Her husband was graduated
from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis with a Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering. He received a commission
