Miss Gertrude A. Osthelder Wedded To L. Edwin Fenner

Miss Gertrude A. Osthelder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.P. Osthelder of Sheboygan Falls, became the bride of L. Edwin Fenner of Manitowoc, formerly of tis city and son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Edwin Fenner of Milwaukee, at a beautiful summer wedding which took place this afternoon at 4 o'clock in St. Peter's Episcopal church at Sheboygan Falls.

Lovely garden flowers were used as decorations in the church. During the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. H. Stanton, Mrs. O.H. Hertzberg played soft organ music and Arwin Schweig sang "Beloved It Is Morn" and "At Dawning" as part of the nuptial service.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white satin fashioned with a lace yolk. Her veil was of tulle and lace and she carried an all-white shower bouquet designed of swansonia and feverfew.

Mrs. L.D.Kalk of Sheboygan Falls, who attended as matron of honor, had a dress of pale blue chiffon and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses. Miss Dorothy Blust, also of Sheboygan Falls, had a delicate pink net frock over a blue foundation and carried a Colonial bouquet of flowers. Both attendants wore long pink lace mitts, blue hats and blue slippers.

Kenneth Kalk, who acted as ringbearer, was clad in a white satin suit and carried the rings on a blue pillow.

Lester Greene of this city, friend of the bridegroom, attended as best man. The ushers were Leonard and Henry Blust, cousins of the bride.

A reception was held at the rectory, following the service and a wedding dinner for relatives and a few friends is being held at St. Peter's Guild hall at 5:30 o'clock. Sentiment is attached to the occasion since it also marks the thirty-sixth wedding anniversary of the bride's parents.

The newly-married couple will leave on a wedding trip to Yellowstone National park and after August 1, they will be at home to their many friends at 821 South Twenty-third street, Manitowoc. For traveling the bride is wearing a black and white silk suit with accessories in the same colors.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Fenner are well known in the county. Mrs. Fenner is a graduate of the Sheboygan Falls high school and Stout Institute at Menomonie, Wis. For the past three years she taught home economics at the Kohler public schools. Mr. Fenner is a graduate of the Sheboygan high school and is at present county highway engineer of Manitowoc county.
