Miss Steffen Is Bride Saturday Of Elmer Fochs

Miss Eleanore E. Steffen and Elmer J. Fochs were wed Saturday at Holy Name church, where their 9 o'clock nuptial high mass was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Philipp Dreis.

The bride who is the daughter of Fred P. Steffen 720 Zimbal Avenue, had her sister, Mrs. Frank P. LaGesse of Clintonville as her matron of honor. Fred M. Maersch was the best man at the ceremony.

Clatus Zehlen was the organist, and accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Fred Maersch, when she sang "Ave Maria" at the offertory, and "On This Day, O Beautiful Mother".

Fourteen members of immediate family were entertained at a 1 o'clock dinner at Rutherfords. Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Brushert, Wausau, Wis., Frank F. LaGesse, Charlotte and Virginia, Clintonville, Wis., and Allen H. Mahnke, Fond du Lac, were guest from far away, in addition to the ones previously mentioned.

A motor trip to northern Wisconsin is being taken by the couple, who will be away 10 days. After Nov. 1, they will be at home at 1015 Georgia Avenue.

Central High School and Marquette University College of Nursing are the brides alma maters. She was in the Navy Nurse corps for 30 months during the period of the war. Mr. Fochs son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fochs, Wausau has his diploma from Wausau High school. He is a rural mail carrier.
