At a ceremony performed in Chicago at 10 O,clock Monday morning Miss Florence Hogar, a teacher in the public schools of this city, was married to Peter A. Werner, son of Mrs. Peter Werner, of Neenah. While friends suspected wedding plans were being formulated, they did not know the definite date which the couple succeeded in keeping a secret.
The bride's two sisters and their husbands were the couple's attendants. They were Mr. and Mrs. William E. Locke, of Chicago, and Mr. and Mrs. Delbert C. Badger of Hyde Park. Mrs Werner was attired in a triple shear black and white dress fashioned in princess lines and she wore a white had and accessories; Her shoulder bouquet was gardenias. The sisters also chose black and white dresses with which they wore white hats and accessories.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Badger of Hyde Park. Mr. and Mrs. Werner returned to the city Monday evening and are residing at 2205 N. Seventh street. On July 2, they will leave by motor for their honeymoon trip to the Black Hills and Yellowstone Park. After July 15 they will be at home.
Mrs. Werner, who has taught in the third grade of the South Side Junior High school for several years, graduated from Oshkosh State Teachers' College and attended several summer sessions at the University of Chicago. Mr. Werner is associated with his brother in the barber business.
