First Lutheran church in Janesville was the setting on Saturday, August 26, for the wedding of Miss Doris Elaine
Olmstead and Leroy H. Zimmerman, the latter of Sheboygan. The ceremony at 3 o'clock was performed by the Rev. Robert H.
Arneson.
Arthur H. Olmstead gave his niece in marriage to the son of Mrs. Theodore Zimmerman, 927 Union avenue. The bride is the
daughter of Mrs. Henry Olmstead of Janesville and the late Mr. Olmstead.
As her only attendant, the bride had her sister, Miss Nancy Olmstead. The best man at the ceremony was Theodore
Zimmerman, Jr., Sheboygan, brother of the bridegroom. The guests were shown to places by Duane E. Olmstead, brother of
the bride, and Helmuth Eberhardt, Sheboygan, brother-in-law of the bridegroom.
Organist for the service was Mrs. Thomas W. Ehrlinger and Floyd Mevis sang, "Oh Perfect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer."
The reception for a group of 150 guests was held in the church parlors after the wedding, and among the assistants were
Mrs. Helmuth Eberhardt, the bridegroom's sister of Sheboygan.
Chicago was visited by the couple, who will be living in Milwaukee, where he is a pharmacist for Walgreen Co. The former
Miss Olmstead was a yeoman in the WAVES and has been a stenographic employee of the Veterans Administration and department
of agriculture at Madison. A veteran of the 32nd division, Mr. Zimmerman is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin.
