A gown of French lace over satin was donned by Miss Ruth Elsie Zastrow Saturday, Aug. 28, for her marriage to Gustave Knabe Jr. The Rev. Kenneth Krueger performed the 3:30 o'clock ceremony at Fountain Park Church, which was decorated with bouquets of white gladioli on the altar, pastel colored gladioli at the sides and candelabra.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Zastrow, Route 1, Sheboygan, the bride was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Knaub Sr., Route 3, Sheboygan. This was the second time within six months that Mr. Zastrow walked down the aisle to present a daughter in marriage. In February, the former Miss Yvonne Zastrow was united in marriage to Roland Launer.

The bridal gown was designed with a mandarin collar with iridescent sequins, a lace bodice with back closing, long sleeves that came to points over the wrists and a full floor-length skirt. A veil of pure silk illusion with a hand-rolled edge fell from a tiara of pearls and clusters of iridescent flowers. The bride held a cascade bouquet of white gladioli, centered with an orchid.

Mrs. Launer attended her sister as matron of honor. She and the bridesmaid, Miss Helen Deuring, Cleveland, Ohio, cousin of the bridegroom, were dressed identically in peacock blue gowns of nylon net over taffeta. The strapless bodices were completed with stoles and the skirts were designed with tiers of tiny ruffles falling from the hiplines to the hemlines. Each wore a tiara of iridescent flowers. A cascade bouquet of yellow gladioli was held by the honor attendant and Miss Deuring carried a bouquet of deeper yellow gladioli.

Two persons in junior roles were the flower girl, Susan Kay Wilharms, niece of the bride, and the ring bearer, Randall Henriksen, the bride's cousin. The former was dressed like the other attendants. She carried a white basket with white and yellow gladioli buds. Rings were carried on a white satin pillow edged in lace.

Best man for the service ws Raymond Knabe, brother of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Ronald Zastrow, the bride's brother, and William Klein, the bridegroom's uncle.

During the ceremony, "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer" were sung by Miss Grace Trester. Musical numbers also were played preceding the service.

Supper guests numbering 120 were entertained at Croatian Hall, which also was the scene of a reception and dance in the couple's honor.

During their wedding trip, the newlyweds will travel through Illinois, Indiana, Mammoth Cave and Reptile Gardens, Ky. They will reside in a newly-furnished apartment on Route 3, Sheboygan.

The former Miss Zastrow attended Central High School and works in the electrical department at Kohler Co. Her husband was a student at Oostburg High School. He is engaged in farming.
