St Matthews church on the South Side, Milwaukee, was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Wednesday morning, June 26th. It was the occasion of the marriage of Miss Ellen Catherine Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Murphy, formerly of Mitchell, to Mr. Frederick J. Ebelt of Mineral Point. The ceremony was performed by Rev. George Eilers at 10 o'clock.

The bride was most charmingly attired in a gown of white silk, wore a veil and carried a bouquet of sweet peas and roses. Miss Katherine L. Murphy was bridesmaid and Raymond Murphy acted as groomsman, while the maid of honor and best man were Miss Kathryn Lindsay of Parnell and John Murphy of Plymouth. The bridesmaid wore a gown of lavender silk mull and carried a bouquet of pink peonies, and the maid of honor wore pink silk pongee and carried white peonies.

The bride came in on the arm of her brother, Henry T. Murphy. The bridal party proceeded up the aisle of the church to the strains of a beautiful wedding march.

Following the ceremony there was a reception at the home of the bride's parents, 649 25th street, at which the following were present: Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Murphy and children, Mr. and Mrs. George Kolb and son, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Denesens (sic), Miss Kathryn and Henry Murphy, Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Rooney, Mrs. J. Flynn, Mr. and Mrs George Pasconelli, Misses Mayme Phalen, Margaret and Otellia Young and Kathryn Lindsay, and Messrs John Murphy and Andrew Killian.

The newly married couple left the same evening for a short trip after which they will be at home at Belmont, Wis., where Mr. Ebelt holds a responsible position with the Chicago Cheese Co.

The best wishes of a host of friends follow the worthy couple.
