Bethlehem Lutheran church was the scene on Saturday for the four o'clock marriage of Miss Margaret E. Pauls and Jerome R. Zimmermann. The Rev. H.H. Wegner performed the ceremony which united the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Pauls, 2423 N. Twenty-third street, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Zimmermann, 1215 S. Thirteenth street.
Miss Norma Rast acted as maid of honor, and Miss Harriet Hansen served as bridesmaid. Patty Pauls, the bride's sister, was the junior bridesmaid. A cousin of the bridegroom, LeRoy Zimmermann, was best man, and Donald Manske was groomsman. Usher roles were taken by Ted Zimmermann, the bridegroom's cousin, and Ted Repenshek, his brother-in-law.
"O Perfect Love" and "O Promise Me" were sung by Miss Eleanore Pauls, the bride's cousin. Organist for the ceremony was Henry Engelhardt.
Supper was served to 25 persons at the Grand Hotel, and later there was a reception for 200 relatives and friends at Fludernick's hall. Mrs. Ed Braun and Mrs. W. Giewald, Sturgeon Bay, were guests from away.
The newlyweds will spend a week in northern Wisconsin, and when they return on July 25, will reside with the bridegroom's parents. North High school is the former Miss Pauls' alma mater, and she works for Wolf's Laundry and Dry Cleaners. Mr. Zimmermann received his diploma from Central High school. He is employed by National Box and Specialty Co.
