Gloria Spielvogel Is Wedded To James(sic) {Jerome} Heisdorf

Promises of marriage were repeated on Saturday by Miss Gloria Spielvogel and Jerome Heisdorf. Bethany Lutheran Church, Kohler, was the scene of the 3:30 o'clock service, read by the Rev. E. L. Burfiend. Floral arrangements of palms and hydrangeas decorated each side of the altar.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Claude Spielvogel, Route 2, Upper Rd., Sheboygan, and Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Heisdorf, who live on the same route.

The bride's waltz-length gown featured a lace bodice and a bolero with small pointed collar and long fitted sleeves. Lace and tulle were fabrics of the boufant skirt and the lace appliqued veil cascaded from a crown of tiny seed pearls. A white orchid was surrounded by carnations and lillies-of-the-valley in the bridal bouquet. The bride's father gave her in marriage.

Gowns worn by the maid of honor, Miss Janice Spielvogel, sister of the bride, and Miss Carol Grohskopf, the bridesmaid, were identical in yellow and orchid shades, respectively. They were fashioned with lace bodies and boleroes and tunics of lace with flounces at the bottoms of the bouffant skirts. Green dresses, styled similarly, were donned by the flower girls, Claudia and Mary Spielvogel, sisters of the bride. The bridal aids held bouquets of orchid, yellow and pink carnations.

A brother of the bride, Richard Spielvogel, assumed duties of best man and Martin Bangert Jr. was in the groomsman role. The ushers were Richard and Wayne Spielvogel, brothers of the bride.

During the wedding ceremony, the Sheboygan Lutheran Corus sang "Song of Ruth" and "Take Thou My Hand and Lead Me."

Dinner was served to a group of 60 relatives and friends at V.F.W. Home.

On May 19, following a motor trip through the south central states, Mr. Heisdorf and his bride will reside on Route 2, Howards Rd. Both young persons were graduated from Kohler High School. The bride does clerical work for Fred Schnorr Hardware Co., Kohler, and her husband is affiliated with the Heisdorf Insurance Agency.

Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gesch, Friesland, Wis., and Richard Spielvogel, Manchester, Wis., along with others from Beaver Dam, Madison, Antigo and Mechanicsville, Iowa.
