Miss Bernice Heisdorf And Raymond Skarda Are Wedded

St. John the Evangelist church at Kohler was the scene on Saturday morning, for the 10 o'clock marriage of Miss Bernice Katherine Heisdorf and Raymond Charles Skarda. The Rev. John Risch performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph P. Heisdorf, Upper Falls road, route 2, Sheboygan, and she was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Roland Skarda, the bridegroom's sister-in-law, came from Beloit to be matron of honor, and Miss Shirley Skarda, cousin of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaid.

Best man was Roland C. Skarda, Beloit, the bridegroom's brother, and Jerome A. Heisdorf, similarly related to the bride, was the groomsman. Guests were ushered by John Siegworth and Wallace Reding, cousins of the bride. During the nuptials, a trio, Miss Mary Kolbeck, Miss Mary Ann Braun and Mrs. Albert Ehren sang "Come Holy Ghost," "O Lord I Am Not Worthy," and a hymn honoring the Blessed Virgin. Miss Kolbeck presented "Panis Angelicus" as a solo. Mrs. Ehren played the accompaniment.

Guests, numbering 26, had breakfast at Marty's Flamingo club, where relatives and friends gathered for the afternoon reception and buffet supper. Among the persons in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. John J. Mattila, Miss Andrae Verheyden, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. A. N. Renner, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hiller, Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rahn, Wausau, and Miss Mary Wall, Oshkosh.

When the newlyweds return from a two weeks' honeymoon trip to Florida, by plane, they will reside at 1609 1/2 W. Spring street, Appleton. The bride attended the University of Wisconsin and is a home economics teacher at Menasha High school. Her husband, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Skarda, Manitowoc, works in the engineering department of Valley Iron Works, Appleton.
