Miss Susan M. Muehlbauer Weds Richard J. Gartman - Sheboygan Press, May 23, 1967, p7
Miss Susan Marie Muehlbauer and Richard John Gartman were married at noon
Saturday at Holy Name Church. Celebrant for the couple's nuptial Mass was
the Rev. Wayne Merchle.
Music for the double-ring service was furnished by the children's choir,
accompanied at the organ by Donald N. Frazee.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Aloys Muehlbauer, 1016 Bluff Ave. She
was presented in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton
Gartman, 1916 S. 12th St.
Bridal attire was a long gown of nylon sheer over taffeta featuring a
long-sleeved lace bodice with a scalloped neckline. Sequins and pearls
trimmed the bodice and the detachable train that highlighted the back of the
gently-belled skirt. A self-bow detailed the back waistline. Fingertip
veiling of pure silk was secured to a crown of simulated orange blossoms.
Flowers carried by the bride were white carnations and pink tea roses in a
cascade arrangement.
As her only attendant, the bride selected Miss Kathy Newton. A colonial
bouquet of white carnations and pink daisies complemented Miss Newton's long
A-line gown of pale blue fabric. The sleeveless bodice, which was overlaid
with white lace, was designed with a scoop neckline. The matching crownband
held the attendant's shoulder-length blue veil.
Best man at the ceremony was Richard Laux.
The Hoffman's at Riverdale was the scene of a dinner for the families and
bridal party.
A July honeymoon trip is being planned by the couple, currently at home at
1634 S. 12th St.
A North High School graduate with the Class of 1966, the bride is a student
at Sheboygan Memorial Hospital School for certified laboratory assistants.
Mr. Gartman received his diploma from South High School in 1964 and served in
the U.S. Air Force. He is employed by Leick Furniture Co.
