Marriage of Miss M. M. Kaestner And V. L. Raeder Told

The former Mae M. Kaestner motored to Portland, Oreg. June 10 to spend a month's vacation with her husband, V. L. Raeder and both returned Friday and are now at their summer home at Crystal Lake. That the Raeders had been married several years came as a complete surprise to their relatives and friends.

The scenic route Mrs. Raeder enjoyed on her trip to Oregon, and with her husband enroute home, covered some 6000 miles. Travelling from Portland down the west coast through California Red Woods they visited many points of interest including Timberline Lodge and Crater Lake in Oregon, Lake Tahoe, Yellowstone National Park, Reno, Buffalo Bill's Hunting Lodge, the Black hills, the Great Horn and the Cascade Mountains.

Mr. Raeder left Plymouth with the Armed Forces in November, 1942 and was stationed with the Medical Corps for one year when he was honorably discharged. He then assumed a responsible position as supervisor in the Kaiser Ship Yards, Swan Island, Oregon, record office of the Maritime Commission and recently completed this work.

Mrs. Raeder is the owner and manager of the Smartwear at 222 E. Mill St. in this city.
