Judith Ann Richter Is Wed To Robert Holden Saturday

At a Nuptial Mass celebrated at 11 o'clock Saturday morning in St. Peter Claver Church by the Rev. Robert M. Hoeller, Miss Judith Ann Richter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Richter, 1920A S. 14th St., became the bride of Robert N. Holden. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Holden, 4216 Superior Ave. Appropriate wedding music for the service was provided by Mrs. Lorraine Hardy, church organist.

Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride appeared in a gown of embroidered nylon tulle over satin. The fitted bodice was styled with long, tapered sleeves and a scoop neckline. The bouffant, floor-length skirt had a front panel of alternating rows of ruffled net and embroidered tulle. Her bouffant veil was attached to a crown of borealis with crystals and pearls. She carried a cascade bouquet centered with a removable white orchid and surrounded with white hyacinth blossoms, carnations and pitisporum foliage. After the ceremonies, the bride placed a bouquet of white carnations at the Blessed Mother altar.

Three attendants, attired in turquoise dresses, preceded the bride into the church. Miss Patricia Clarke was maid of honor; Miss Jean Jetzer, bridesmaid, and Glenna Holden, sister of the bridegroom, junior bridesmaid. The Misses Clarke and Jetzer were dressed alike in light turquoise brocaded sheaths detailed with scoop necklines, elbow-length sleeves and detachable overskirts of deep turquoise satin. Their headpieces were crowns of turquoise net and pearls designed with short, bouffant-type veils. Light turquoise brocade also fashioned the full-skirted frock worn by the junior attendant. The dress also was made with elbow-length sleeves and a scoop neckline.

The trio carried identical bouquets - cascade arrangements of pink carnations and pitisporum leaves.

Robert Gebhard, seaman apprentice stationed at Great Lakes Naval Station, Great Lakes, Ill., attended the bridegroom as best man while the bride's brother-in-law, Samuel Livermore, served as groomsman. The young men also fulfilled the duties of ushers.

Ninety-Nine Hall was scene of the wedding festivity following the church service. Dinner at noon was served to 50 guests and a buffet supper and reception were held from 6 to 8 o'clock in the evening for 250 relatives and friends. Dancing followed to music furnished by Herman Kussard's band. Out-of-town guests attended from Milwaukee and Manitowoc.

On March 4, the bridegroom will go into active duty with the United States Navy and the bride will be residing at the home of her parents. She is a 1962 graduate of South High School.

Mr. Holden, who has been a press operator at Vinyl Plastics Inc., completed his high school education at Sheboygan Falls last year. Earlier he attended Palmetto High School in Miami, Fla., where the family formerly resided.
