Miss Virginia Graefe Is Married To Vernon Lieding

Baskets of iris, lilacs and white garden flowers, ferns and palms decorated the chancel of Bethany Lutheran church in Kohler Saturday at 5 p.m. for the wedding of Miss Virginia Graefe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Graefe, 227 School street, Kohler, and Vernon Lieding, 2037 N. Twentieth street. The service was read by the Rev. Albert Huber.

During the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bahr, Ethel Bahr and Roland Ludwig sang "The Pilgrims' Song" and "With the Lord Thy Work Begins." Norman Wilbert was at the organ.

The bride's white net gown was fashioned with a full skirt, lace trimmed bodice, puffed sleeves and long train. Her long, tulle, lace-edged veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. She carried a colonial bouquet of eradium lilies, sweetpeas and swansonia.

The maid of honor, Mrs. Walter De Bruyne, sister of the bride, and bridesmaids, the Misses Estelle Bahr, aunt of the bridegroom, and Betty Bluhm of Kohler, were attired in bouffant marquisette gowns, trimmed with lace. The maid of honor wore pink and carried a colonial bouquet of lavender gladioli, pink and blue sweetpeas. The bridesmaids were attired in blue and their flowers were peach gladioli, pink and blue sweetpeas. Beverly Lieding, sister of the bridegroom, was dressed in blue organdy. Her flowers were identical to the bridesmaids'. All attendants wore hair corsages. Another sister of the bridegroom, JoAnne Lieding, was the flower girl, attired in a pink organdy dress She carried a basket of mixed flowers.

Attending the bridegroom was Waldemar Markworth of this city as best man, Roger Lieding, a brother, and William Graefe, Jr., brother of the bride, were ushers.

A 6:30 o'clock wedding dinner was served to the immediate families at the Grand Hotel, after which a reception was held at the 99 club.

Mr. Lieding and his bride have left on a wedding trip through northern Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota and after July 1 will reside at 226 Poplar street, Sheboygan Falls.

The bride has been employed in the office of the Kohler company and attended Kohler High school and Sheboygan Business college. The bridegroom is an employee of the Kohler company.
