Miss Katte And John O'Connor Are Married Here

The bridegroom, John F. O'Connor, came from Washington, D.C., to claim Miss Luetta Katte as his bride Saturday, when their double-ring service at 9 a.m. was held in St. Peter Claver church. The Rev. C.J. Hausner was the nuptial mass celebrant.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Katte, 1938 S. Fourteenth street, the bride was given in marriage by her father. Among the relatives in the church were the bridegroom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ignatius O'Connor, also of Washington, D.C.

Three attendants preceded Miss Katte to the front of the church. One, Miss Margaret Taylor, traveled from Washington, D.C., to be maid of honor for her cousin's bride. The bridesmaid duo comprised Miss Betty Drexler, Kohler, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Virginia Leick.

Jerome Katte, brother of the bride, presently stationed with the navy in San Francisco, was best man and Edward Jesinski, groomsman. Besides the bride's brother, Edgar Katte, as usher, there was John Leick.

Members of the bridal party were served a breakfast after the ceremony, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Siegl, Kohler, the latter a sister of the bride. The immediate families were served a brunch there also. The bride's parents entertained 50 guests at the wedding dinner. A reception during evening hours was held at Kiwanis Field house.

After August 15, Mr. and Mrs. O'Connor will be residing in Washington, D.C. They now are on a wedding trip through northern Wisconsin.

Guests from away were the Misses Mary and Ann O'Connor, Clarksburg, W. Va.; Mrs. William F. Wilson, Summit, N.J.; Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Booton, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Hutchinson, Mr. and Mrs. Theo. Hutchinson, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hutchison, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hecker, all of Manitowoc, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Drexler, Fredonia.
