Miss Bernice Kathke Wedded To Frederic Roth Saturday
The wedding of Miss Bernice Kathke, daughter of Mrs. Rose Kathke, 1527 S.
Fourteenth street, and Frederic Roth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max Roth, 728
Zimbal avenue, was solemnized at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Our Saviour's Lutheran
church, the altar of which was banked with cut flowers and ferns. The Rev.
W. W. Laesch read the nuptial service.
For her wedding the bride wore a gown of white embroidered chiffon fashioned
with a short train. Her fingertip veil was held in place by a crown of seed
pearls and she carried a shower bouquet of white roses and sweet peas.
The bride's only attendant was Miss Gazella Wolfgram, who was attired in a
gown of pink chiffon. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and delphinium and
wore a wreath of roses in her hair. Both the bride's and bridegroom's
mothers wore corsages of roses and sweetpeas.
Attending the bridegroom as best man was Andrew Scharrer. Donald Roth, a
brother of the bridegroom and Robert O. Driscoll, brother-in-law of the
bride, were ushers.
During the service Miss Ione Rochlus sang "O Perfect Love."
Following the service, a wedding dinner was served to the immediate families
at Kneever's hotel. After August 1, the couple will reside in a newly
furnished flat at Sheboygan, route 2.
