Jensen-Zimmermann Pair Repeat Nuptial Promises
A candlelight service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Town of Wilson,
united Miss Kathleen Mary Jensen and Gerald Roy Zimmermann in marriage on
Saturday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Arthur Dingel performed the
double-ring ceremony before an altar decorated with twin bouquets of white
roses and ivy.
Parents of the principals are Mrs. Marguerite Jensen, 1406 Pennsylvania Ave.,
and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert O. Zimmermann, R. 3, Sheboygan. The bride was
presented in the rite by her brother, Marine Cpl. Thomas L. Jensen, Camp
Pendleton, Calif.
Music for the service was provided by Mrs. Lila Gartman, organist, and
Kenneth Lang, vocal soloist, who presented "The Wedding Prayer."
The bride appeared in a candlelight ivory satin brocade gown, floor-length,
with gored skirt and pleated trim on sleeves and high neckline. Her chiffon
and pearl leaf crown held candlelight ivory rolled-edge veiling. A cascade
of white roses, ferns and foliage was her floral arrangement.
Honor attendant for the bride was her sister, Miss Patricia Ann Jensen.
Royal blue velvet was the color of her empire gown, styled with gold bodice
belting, scoop neckline and leg-o'-mutton sleeves. Her headpiece was a
matching velvet bow. A colonial bouquet of blue and gold carnations and
pompons complemented her attire.
Those in identical apparel were Mrs. John Meyer, Kiel, and Miss Carla Ann
Herte as bridesmaids, with Alice Jensen, sister of the bride, in the role of
junior bridesmaid.
A miniature version of the bride's gown was worn by Yvonne Rudebeck,
Sheboygan Falls, godchild and niece of the bridegroom.
Ray Roerdink was best man, assisted by groomsmen Richard Rudebeck; Michael
Jensen, brother of the bride, and Troy Rudebeck, Sheboygan Falls, godson and
nephew of the bridegroom.
Ushering duties were performed by Gary Schomberg and Arthur Jensen, brother
of the bride. Another brother of the bride, David Jensen, was candle-lighter.
Andy's at Mohrsville was the setting for the reception, supper and dance for
about 400 guests.
After a honeymoon trip to northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds are residing at
3822 Koehn Ave.
A 1965 alumna of North High School, the former Miss Jensen is a production
control clerk at Armour Leather Co.
Mr. Zimmermann was graduated from South High School in 1965 and is employed at Van Der Vaart Co.
