Miss Betty Wehrwein and A 2/c Wayne Zastrow Wed

Miss Betty Wehrwein exchanged marriage vows with A2/c Wayne Zastrow last week Saturday afternoon at St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church. The officiant was the Rev. August Grollmus.

Parents of the principals are Mr. and Mrs. Alex Wehrwein, Route 4, MIll Rd., and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Zastrow, Route 1, Sheboygan.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a dress of net and lace, fashioned with a high neckline trimmed with sequins and long sleeves that came to points at the wrists. Sequins also trimmed the cap effect to which a short veil was attached. The bride held a bouquet of white carnations.

Blue lace and net fashioned the gown worn by the maid of honor, Miss Ruth Zastrow, sister of the bridegroom. A small cape was another part of her ensemble and she wore a headpiece of lace adorned with sequins. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bridesmaids were Beverly Stauber, cousin of the bride, and Miss June Majewski, similarly related. Pink was the color of their gowns and flowers. As junior bridesmaids, Donna Mae Wehrwein, sister of the bride, and Nancy Wehrwein, her cousin, wore gowns of white net and lace with full skirts. They had floral headpieces. The flower girl was Susan Kay Willharms, the bridegroom's niece, and she was dressed in a white frock of lace and net. White carnations comprised the bouquet she held. Rings were brought to the altar on a pillow by Randall Sternard, cousin of the bride. The best man was Gust. Knabe and those who assumed duties of groomsmen were Frank Stauber Jr., the bridegroom's cousin, and Ronald Zastrow, his brother. Another brother of the bridegroom, Edward Zastrow, and Henry Wehrwein, uncle of the bride, were the ushers.

Musical numbers during the ceremony were "Because," "The Lord's Prayer" and "All My Love," sung by Mrs. Henry Stawski. The accompanist was Mrs. Irma Berndt.

Wedding festivities included a supper for 35 guests at Johnnie's Inn and a reception to which 450 relatives and friends were invited at 99 Hall. Guests came from Waupun, Milwaukee, Watertown and Richwood.

The newlyweds are keeping the destination of their wedding trip a secret. The bride is employed at Kohler Co. Her husband will report to Alaska for duty with the U.S. Air Force, during which time she will reside with her parents.
