Marotz-Valenta Couple United In Plymouth Rite
Richard Valenta of St. Paul, Minn., claimed Miss Carol Marotz of Plymouth as
his bride in a marriage ceremony which took place during a nuptial Mass at
St. John the Baptist Church in Plymouth, Saturday.
Officiant in the 2 o'clock rite was the Rev. Alan Jurkus. Guitarist was Miss
Joann Kriigel of Janesville and Miss Char Terbeest of Rollingstone, Minn.,
was heard as vocal soloist. Both are Tri-Sigma sorority sisters of the bride.
Mr. and Mrs. William E. Marotz, 233 Mead Ave., Plymouth, are the bride's
parents and the bridegroom is the son of R. 1, Mishicot residents, Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Valenta.
Three sisters of the bridal pair were attendants in the ceremony. Miss Mary
Marotz had the maid of honor role and Miss Barbara Marotz of Appleton was a
bridesmaid with Mrs. William Rocheleau of Mishicot, the bridegroom's sister.
Miss Karen Woolley of Racine was another bridesmaid.
James Valenta, the bridegroom's brother, came from Mishicot to be his best
man. Two Chi Lambda fraternity brothers of the bridegroom, were groomsmen,
Russel Plagemann of Manitowoc and Galen Fitzel of Colby, along with the
bridegroom's brother-in-law, William Rocheleau of Mishicot.
Two other brothers of the bridal pair escorted guests to their places in
church prior to the ceremony, Alan Marotz and Ben Valenta of Mishicot.
Raymond's on Cedar Lake was the scene of a buffet supper and dance to fete
the newlyweds.
The couple is planning a delayed honeymoon. They are residing at 1849 E. 7th
St., Apt. 11, St. Paul, Minn. 55119.
Both the bride and bridegroom attended Stout State University in Menomonie
and the former Miss Marotz is currently a student at the University of
Minnesota. At Stout, she affiliated with Tri-Sigma sorority.
Her husband was graduated from Stout and is a teacher at the St. Paul Career Study Center. His fraternity is Chi Lambda.
