Miss Betty Jane Drews Is Wedded To Earl Opgenorth

Our Savior's Lutheran church was the scene on Saturday for the 4 o'clock marriage of Miss Betty Jane Drews and Earl B. Opgenorth. The Rev. Walter W. Laesch was the officiating clergyman.

Miss Helen Wuestenhagen was the maid of honor, and Miss Marion Opgenorth, a sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Rosie Kosak formed the bridesmaid duo. Duties of the best man were assumed by Arno Drews, the bride's cousin. Frederick Drews, her brother, and Ronnie Ziller served as groomsmen, and also doubled as ushers.

During the service, Miss Nancy Burhop sang "The Lord's Prayer" and "Take Thou My Hand and Lead Me". J. Arthur Koss was the organist.

A 6 o'clock wedding dinner was served to 33 guests at the Croatian hall. The group then adjourned to Fludernick's hall, where the couple greeted 350 relatives and friends for the reception.

After November 3, when the newlyweds return from a secret honeymoon, they will reside with the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Drews, 2216 S. Ninth street. Both Mr. Opgenorth and his bride are Central High graduates. The former Miss Drews is employed as a stenographer at the Kohler Co., and her husband is engaged in farming. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Opgenorth, route 3, Sheboygan.

Out-of-county guests were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Saxe, Okanchee; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Krause, Gary, Kenneth and David, Fred Behrens, Mr. and Mrs. John Drews and Gail, Mr. and Mrs. Weber, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Spude, Walter, Jacqueline and Susan, Sturgeon Bay, and Mrs. Harold Schuchardt, Ohio.
