Miss Evelyn Opgenorth And George Zuehl Are Wedded

A pretty June wedding took place in the Immanuel Lutheran church here at 4 p.m. Saturday, when Miss Evelyn Opgenorth, of the town of Sheboygan, became the bride of George Zuehl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Zuehl, 1529 Illinois avenue. The Rev. Ed. Krause read the marriage service. As the bridal procession entered the church "Idylle" by Gurlitt was played and the bridal party left the church to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march.

The bride wore a gown of white fairyspun taffeta, with a fitted bodice and full skirt. Her tulle veil, which hung en train, was fashioned in cap effect and adorned with a wreath of orange blossoms. Her shower bouquet was composed of pale pink roses, feverfew and sweetpeas. She also wore a string of pearls, which was her gift from the bridegroom.

Miss Verena Opgenorth, a sister of the bride, who was the maid of honor, wore a dress of orchid shade organdie fashioned in Colonial style with velvet applique. She wore a picture hat of imported hair braid to match her gown. Her flowers were snapdragons, carnations and feverfew in an arm bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Beatrice Zuehl, a sister of the bridegroom, and the Misses Ardelle and Wilma Opgenorth, sisters of the bride. Miss Zuehl wore a dress of pale yellow colored organdie fashioned in Colonial style with velvet applique. A large picture hat of imported hair braid to match her gown completed her costume. Her Colonial corsage bouquet was composed of roses, sweetpeas and feverfew. Miss Ardelle Opgenorth's dress was of pale green organdie with velvet applique, fashioned in Colonial style. She wore a picture hat to match her gown and her flowers were roses, feverfew and sweetpeas in a Colonial corsage bouquet. Miss Wilma Opgenorth's dress was also fashioned in Colonial style and had velvet applique work. A picture hat similar to the other attendants completed her costume. She had a Colonial corsage bouquet of roses, feverfew and sweetpeas.

The flower girl, little Henrietta Mahnke, wore a frock of pale pink ruffled organdie and a miniature corsage of roses, sweetpeas and feverfew. Elmer Opgenorth was the best man. Carl Zuehl and Melvin Bahler were the ushers.

A reception was held at the home of the bride, where a dinner was served to approximately forty guests. Decorations were carried out in the shades of the bridesmaids' dresses, rose, green, orchid and yellow. Cut flowers also added in making the decorations attractive. The out-of-town guests present for the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. George Mahnke of Racine; Mr. and Mrs. John Beth, Jr., Two Rivers; Mr. and Mrs. F. Beachwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Hahn of Milwaukee.

The young couple have gone on a wedding trip, keeping their destination a secret. The bride's going-away costume was a tailored suit of rose colored homespun material with accessories to match. After July 15 Mr. and Mrs. Zuehl will be at home to friends at 720 Zimbal avenue.

The bride is a graduate of the Sheboygan High school with the class of 1923. Mr. Zuehl is a member of the Sheboygan baseball team.
